I deal with many well know charities every year and they just want your money to pay themselves. Sadly any of the money you donate gets to the people in need. This is just F you money these people have to waste

Well I would say you are dealing with the wrong charities then. I do my research. Other than local organizations my main donations go to the Fisher house. They are very open with how donations are used and over 90% is actually put directly to the mission and not made to look like it was used for it. I am not rich enough to really need to make donations for tax purposes but the Fisher house mission is one that I feel compelled to support based on direct experience seen by myself and by friends.

Useless post.. If you want to create a post on it do some ******* work and actually post the details.. ******* trolls.

This was a charity auction so it was a tax write off and more to the point it was for a one of 2017. It will be the last 2017 built and the customer gets to pick what ever color they want it in. So it will be a 1 of 1 2017 raptor. But the reality is that the high price was due to the fact that its a charity auction where the price becomes a tax write off.

What the hell is your problem? What did you want? The OP to research the freakin VIN and the air pressure in the tires for you? He simply posted on what the truck sold for.

I, for one, knew it was going to be on Barrett Jackson and appreciated the info on what it went for. You have to come on here and act like an ass hole to the guy.

Thanks for the info. OP.

To put this into perspective, someone locally (Central Kansas) purchased the rights (Barrett Jackson Scottsdale January 2014 charity purpose) to the last 2014 Shelby GT500 produced. Same situation, he got to pick the options and color. Loaded up a 'vert in GottaHaveIt green (the only Shelby ever produced in that color). He paid 500k - the Raptor went for 157k. The MSRP of the Shelby was just north of 68k.

i will have to agree with that. You think you know where your money goes or they tell you what you want to hear. YOu are lucky if 0.2c out of every dollar ends up in the right hands….I know we can argue back and forth about it, whatever. Purple heart is bunch of thieves. The CEO salary was north of $400K, that was on the news a few years ago. I knew a guy who towed for purple heart and he was on a take with the others. For example someone donated a car , they would give a receipt for $1000 and then turn around a sell it for $3500……and split the cash difference.
Any time i am asked at a pharmacy, grocery store for a dollar i decline.
Its a tax write off for someone in this case i get it. Just a tax loop hole if you have to unload some cash….
I would rather give money to someone that needs it and i well know that it would be used for the purpose. I do it here and there through out the year through my business. I would help someone when i know they do need help.
