I never understood why anyone gave a shit about 0-60 times. It's a ******** time to speed measurement that only magazine writers care about. It's like debating horsepower per liter, which is completely pointless. Only a subject of socialist Europe who has to live with artificially imposed engine displacement limits would care about such a stupid metric. Especially given the inherent inefficiencies of OHC engines (massive physical size, excess weight, and high center of gravity).

For street racing:

60' matters
ET matters

These are time to distance measurements. The former tells you how well you are hooking up. The latter tells you who won.

Case in point. Way back in the day, the Viper used to beat a lot of cars from 0-60 in the magazines. So all kinds of A-holes with more money than brains bought them thinking they were the fastest things on the road. But in their original form, they really didn't breathe for shit. They got those times because they could go 60 miles per hour in first gear. So they were reeeeaalllllyyyyy fast. On paper. But out in the real world they just weren't all that fast beyond first gear and they lost a lot of races. Some for money.

Given how useless 0-60 is as a measurement of performance for street cars, isn't 0-60 even more useless as a measurement of performance for off road trucks?!?

These things really aren't street racers. Couldn't be further from it, in fact.

Now post up some vids of your truck at WOT from outside of the truck where we can hear the real, actual, non augmented exhaust note!

For fun...No need to get all technical about it. I was bored sitting around and thought to myself hmmmm wonder what 0-60 would look and sound like on camera in normal vs sport mode so I went and did that.

I noticed its shifts way before redline? Whats up with that ? What if you went manual mode? Bounce that shit off the limiter (jk) you know if you get bored again.
