How to Wire Driving Lights to come on with High Beams

For those interested in using these on the street, this article explains how you can wire additional lights to come on only when your high beams are on. This way you won't blind oncoming traffic, assuming you don't leave your high beams on like a ****** :)

I was thinking of leaving the outer most LED on but have the others go off when the high beams go off, but if it's still too bright, I'm also thinking of wiring in a dimmer to reduce light output only when the high beams go off.

The wiring in the article makes sense if you are installing a new unpowered switch, but is not how I'd wire it using an existing powered upfitter switch. If the aux circuit has sufficient capacity for the light being installed, we can tap the high beam wiring for the relay trigger directly (with no switch) and use the upfitter switch as the power feed to the relay.

Then as another poster suggested, if desired we can also tie in a second switch as a direct power feed if you want a option to run it without depending on high beams.
