That’s not ideal, but yes; just keep it from getting too hot and venting.

So took it to the dealer and service manager suggested I think about buying Ford Premium Care extended warranty to cover for repairs that may need to be done on the transmission. I’m at 69k miles so my factory warranty expired.

Is this the same dealer that overfilled it? If it’s damaged from overfill/overheat, that’s on them. You shouldn’t need to purchase an extended warranty to cover their mistakes.
