17-Current Ford Raptor 3.0 Series Front VS Coilover RR with CDCV
PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
The front end geometry of the Gen 2 Raptor was found to be fairly similar to the previous model truck, however the shock mounting points had been moved higher up on the chassis. Seeing this as an opportunity, the team was able to design a 3.0 Series coilover that has more shaft travel while utilizing a barreled coil spring for more efficient packaging. The vehicle-specific valving featured in these shocks and the all new ICON-engineered spring work together to provide exceptional on-road ride quality with excellent off-road characteristics. ICONs multi-stage hydraulic Bump Zone adds to the performance capability by providing an exponential increase in damping ability during the last 40% of compression travel for superior bottom-out resistance. In the ride zone, these 3.0 Series coilovers see a 50% increase in damping ability with the use of a significantly larger piston than what is found in the factory shocks. New 10 finned aluminum reservoirs provide a generous amount of shock oil while also providing an increase in surface area for enhanced cooling and consistent damping. The addition of ICONs CDC Valve technology provides 10 settings of damping adjustment allowing the end-user to adjust the feel of the shocks for different terrains and vehicle cargo configurations. All of these features work together to deliver the perfect blend of on-road comfort and off-road performance.
KEY FEATURES:

17-Current Ford Raptor 3.0 Series Piggyback Reservoir Bypass Rear Shock Kit
PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
The rear of the updated Ford Raptor was a highlight for ICON engineers, as new changes proved to be for the better. One significant change was that the shock mounting layout went from a parallel style setup to an offset design. While this is great for controlling axle wrap, it required a thorough reevaluation of the way ICON shocks would need to function to make the most of the refreshed rear end. In the R&D process it was found that Gen 2 had more available wheel travel than the original Raptor, and by way of an offset upper eyelet ICON engineers laid out a 3.0 Series bypass shock that maximized travel while utilizing the factory shock mounts. To control the rear end in specific ranges of travel, these shocks feature 3 unique bypass zones – 2 on the compression stroke and one rebound. Unlike other shocks that have a loud bypass “click” when functioning, ICON bypass valves feature damped valve stops for quiet and precise operation. Easy-to-adjust knobs allow for quick changes to shock tuning without the need for tools, enabling the user to dial in their ride with minimal down time. When in use on and off-road, ICON’s patented Anti-Wobble Link stabilizes the shocks to prevent rotation and possible collision. Additionally, urethane shin guards protect the shock shafts and rod ends under grueling off-road conditions.
KEY FEATURES:
3-tube bypass design and "Bump Zone" technology provides multiple unique zones of damping and rebound control
50% increase in damping ability over OE shocks for excellent performance in extreme off-road conditions
12" finned aluminum reservoirs provide generous oil volume and increased surface area for enhanced cooling properties and consistent damping
Offset upper eyelet with patented ICON Anti-Wobble link for optimized shock mounting and packaging
Easy-to-adjust detented knobs offer quick adjustability without the use of tools
Specially engineered damped valve stops for quiet and precise operation without the loud “clicking” noise common with other brands
Heavy duty CNC machined 1” shock shafts
FK Rod End COM12 spherical bearings ensure maximum strength and durability
Urethane shin guards help to protect the shock shaft & rod end from premature wear
CAD plated shock body with hard anodized piston and top cap
Fully serviceable design allows for revalves, rebuilds, and an immeasurable service life
Bolt-in design makes for an easy install into OEM shock location
“ICON 1K” tested under rigorous off-road conditions to validate tune, performance, strength, and durability

Icon Vehicle Dynamics '17-Current Ford Raptor Rear Hydraulic Bumpstop Kit
PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
After hundreds of hours of R&D and thousands of miles of real world on and off-road testing, ICON engineers have developed products that provide a true performance upgrade over the factory components found on the new and improved Raptor. The “Gen 2” Raptor is faster, lighter, and smarter than its older brother - suspension mounting locations have changed, a significant amount of weight was trimmed off of the truck, and new technology has been introduced both on the side of safety and performance. While lessons learned in the development of “Gen 1” Raptor product were kept near, ICON’s engineering team approached the task of developing this bump stop kit for the 2017-UP Ford Raptor as if it was an entirely new vehicle.
KIT FUNCTION:
The function of the bump stop is to control and limit the final position of the suspension during up-travel. The factory bump stops have a limited energy absorption capacity and an uncontrolled release of this energy upon rebound – translating into a harsh ride and poor handling during more aggressive driving in rough terrain. ICON’s Gen 2 Raptor Hydraulic Rear Bump Stop Kit absorbs and releases this energy in a much more controlled manner which reduces rear end ‘kick’ to provide confidence inspiring performance.
KIT CONSTRUCTION:
The ICON Raptor Bump Stop Kit includes heavy duty steel clamshell brackets, a billet aluminum frame crossmember, adjustable tension rods, hydraulic bump stops, and all of the necessary hardware required to complete the installation. The clamshell brackets, crossmember, and tension rods add strength to the frame to prevent damage during extreme off-road use while increasing chassis rigidity for predictable handling and improved vehicle dynamics. The 2.5” travel hydraulic bump stops feature velocity sensitive technology which means that as the shaft speed increases the damping ability ramps up, resulting in exponential bottoming resistance that won’t negatively affect articulation. Combining all of these components into an easy to install, bolt-on package, ICON has developed the most comprehensive rear bump stop solution on the market for Raptor owners seeking the next level of strength and performance.
KEY FEATURES:
Bolt-on installation does not require any fabrication or removal of the bed
2.5” travel hydraulic bump stop reduces rear end ‘kick’ and improves overall vehicle performance
Velocity sensitive technology exponentially increases bottom-out resistance
Vehicle specific bump stop tune provides smooth engagement and excellent ride quality
6061 billet aluminum crossmember increases chassis rigidity to improve overall vehicle dynamics
Steel clamshell brackets strengthen the frame in critical areas to prevent damage from extreme off-road use
Adjustable tension rods allow the frame to be preloaded to withstand torsional force during hard impacts
Heavy duty 1.25” CNC machined nitro steel shafts
Multi-stage CAD plated body for maximum corrosion resistance
Replaceable noise-reducing striker pad
Fully serviceable
“ICON 1K” tested under rigorous off-road conditions to validate tune, performance, strength, and durability
TECH INFO:
Compatible with factory shocks
Does not require modification of factory exhaust system (aftermarket exhaust may need modifications)
Removal of the bed is not required for installation
Factory nitrogen charge - 150 PSI (Tunable range 50-250 PSI)
