there should be an option for a v8 I don't trust the ecoboost at all to take me to the middle of the desert while thrashing on it.

Yeah it all depends on what is offered and how it's packaged. $4k or $5k over base price to have a loaded truck is a no-brainer.

Porsche is the worst. Their base MSRP is for a stripped shell of a car and you have to fill it up with expensive options to make it reasonably road worthy. However, on the other hand, if you intentionally want a stripped car they charge you double and call it a GT3 RS.

Stripped, but with a ridiculous motor.

But you're absolutely right. The cars are literally stripped. If you're buying anything with a Porsche logo, you shouldn't have to pay for power seats, auto dimming mirrors, or HD radio.

Then again, this is the same company that charges $5000 for GT Silver Metallic on the 911 and $20,000 for the exact same paint color on the 918. :specialed:

rest assured the 50k 2017 Raptor won't have any frills. the current fx4 trucks are the same way. I work with guy who just bought a 15 the sticker was 49,503.. no leather. no HID lamps ect. I saw one the other night was an FX4 had leather no HID lamps and only 18" wheels sticker was 60,216.

I hope I am wrong but I don't forsee a 17 Raptor coming in for much less than 60k plus.

Ha stupid options. When I got my truck I went for basic shit, seat heat, trailer brake and rear view camera. No leaky sunroof or fidgety nav to deal with

I almost went with a 800A Oxford White Raptor for 49k. I figured I could live without some of the Raptor frills but the stealership almost bragged about how they are only asking 5k over sticker...

At the time almost all CA dealers had a ridiculous markup and the one or two used Raptor's in my area (2012's wanted 58k and they had 20,000 miles on them) when I got lucky and stumbled on my '13 with 11k on it for 52k.

Come 2019 I hope Ford will have flooded the market with Gen2's and it will be a buyers market because one thing for sure the Gen2 will cost a lot more than the Gen1.
