Yes you did. You said, "they're sharing pretty much all of the technology/parts across the board as the 2017+ regular f150's....." Which is incorrect. They are largely sharing internals and tech with the GT. It's OK to be wrong, it's even happened to me, once.

Because they are, it's a new 3.5, which the general new 3.5 is being shared across all 3, it'll just be variations between them. As in, don't think the Raptor 3.5 is 100% all on it's own nothing shared with the regular f150 3.5. The new block, new dual injection, etc. is all shared across the board. Yes additional things may be shared with the GT, but more than not the raptor 3.5 will look more like the f150 3.5 than it will the GT 3.5.......and internals probably will look more like the f150 3.5 because it's doubtful the cam selection will be the same as the GT, and a good chance the pistons will even be different for a different CR between the Raptor as a heavy truck at 450ish, and the GT as a light weight supercar over 600+.

I'm not saying some F150 parts won't be there, I'm telling you that there are more components and tech that is shared with the GT than the F150. I don't consider the way something "looks" to be a good reference to determine if it shares more components from one than the other.

Yeah I'm sure the GT on an entirely different platform with mid/rear engine in a lightweight supercar and ~200 more hp will share more parts with the engine in the Raptor vs another near identical platform pickup with just lesser suspension and ~100 less horses but same platform lol.

Not going by how they look, going by common sense. Doesn't take much especially in a turbo application for them to get another 100 hp out of the 3.5 for the raptor version. F150 version of the new 3.5, cam profile change, maybe CR change with pistons, little more boost, little bigger turbos, bam 100+ horse. Not going to take supercar level tech with carbon fiber intakes, insane exhaust setup with wastegates thru the taillights, and all that other cool tech in the GT, you aren't going to see that in the Raptor.

They're all going to look a certain level alike, they're all 3.5s from the same starting baseline, but for the guys grasping at being able to say it's a GT supercar engine in their Raptor because they feel insecure about a V6 under the hood, sorry guarantee the turbo system, cams, exhaust, intake, and many many more things on the GT will be significantly different than the Raptor version....which will look an awful lot like the f150 version with minor tweaks.


That's like people driving around in older Lincoln Navigators saying they have a GT supercar engine in their navi's because it's 4v 5.4 instead of 2v like the f150 version of the 5.4. Sorry it's an f150 5.4 with improved heads, not a detuned/shared GT supercar engine. Farrrrrrr cry from it.
