I hope the Torsen front diff is standard equipment like on 2012+ Raptors. I will order a 2017 with a Torsen regardless, I just hate pay for something packaged with some luxury items that I'd like to avoid (I would like no sunroof).

I really don't know what's going on at Ford. How does a company go from a string of successes like the GT500, Raptor, and GT350R (none of which required much of a marketing budget) to this? I thought they just changed the name from SVT to Ford Performance? Seems more like they fired all the real car guys.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for a new Bronco and Lightning. Hope they find enough balls to make them... and get them right.

Ford is actually killing it when it comes to their performance lines and it shows with how hard it is to actually get them. Try and get gt350r or even a gt350 in some cases and not to mention the Focus RS which is selling like mad and dont even think about trying to get the GT because thats impossible even if you have millions of bucks.

Another reason Ford doesnt throw huge bucks at marketing the gt350r, gt350, and the GT is because they are limited run vehicles, they are not going to throw millions into marketing to sell 500 or less units of a certain model. 2015 they made 100 gt350s and 37 gt350r's, wouldnt make sense to spend even $250k on marketing them especially when YouTube reviewers pretty much sell them for the company for free.

Fords marketing department is doing a fantastic job even with their normal lines as the f150 is STILL the best selling truck on the road.

You know who this Forza video game type commercial/video appeals to? The younger crowd that has money. This isnt a video for 60 year olds that didnt grow up on video games, this is for the 25-35 year olds who did (like myself). Yes, the quality blows chunks and its laughable at times but they are going to sell a hell of a lot of these trucks no matter what.

TORSEN gets a bad rap around here because people correlate their vacuum line pressure loss issues which strip the IWEs because they don't engage when vacuum is lost.

Truth be told the TORSEN makes the rap. a darn good crawler, and it was already above average in that respect pre TORSEN. I haven't had issue one with the front diff. So I'm in the pro TORSEN camp at the moment.

Plus adding a mechanically activated limited slip diff to the front made a more well rounded truck. People said, "raptor is a baja bomber, not a crawler" then SVT answered with an ingenious solution. The history and development of it is quite a story, if you're a race minded individual.

Sorry to go OT, back to Forza raptor forum mode: I heard TORSEN is an option for 2017 raptor, not a standard feature.
