There is a post or thread somewhere here that has the steps to permanently disable to Auto On/Off feature. It's not the button on the center dash. You have to search through the information screen behind the steering wheel. The option to disable the Auto On/Off is in there and it should stay off until you re enable it.

Incorrect, that was a different engine setting, shouldn't have been posted as a solution

Run 87 for a month then put a tank of 9X in and I bet you will notice the difference.

G1 actually had a distinction from Ford that it was 411 hp on premium and 401 hp on 87 octane, but I haven't seen that noted anywhere on the G2. The Raptor supplement just says 87 minimum. The generic F150 manual that covers all powertrains says 87 is minimum and if it's hot or you're towing you may see improved performance with 91.

Because the supplement says nothing about premium, my guess is that it'll make full power on 87. Maybe I'll throw it on a dyno in the coming weeks and find out what it likes. A lot of places the cost of premium vs 87 octane is a few percent more, but up here in Canada it's often 20% more for 91 over 87 !

If it says 87 then it's tuned for 87. There is no benefit to running higher octane if there isn't any knocking/detonation on a lower octane.

Not true there is no benefit.

Regardless I'm anxious for a 91 tune and will be all over that.
