Hard to understand why folks are getting so worked up over a feature like this or having to push a button. Jumper the damned button so it is always closed and you're done.
I actually look forward to the gas savings it will provide.
Anyone else running regular gas? The Raptor supplement says 87 octane is fine so my last tank I ran Shell 87, I haven't noticed any power difference and it saved me $25.
Once you have owned vehicles with this feature you'll understand. It's not a matter of getting worked up, it's just something you shake your head at...someone at Ford made a conscious choice to force the issue versus letting us have the freedom to decide.

Blame the EPA and the soon to be Zero administration. Zero did his best to pull that land mine EPA ruling ahead of normal schedule and doubled down on stupid, as usual, when all the evidence said otherwise.
5 days.........
It's one of those things that I just have a hard time getting over..my gut tells me that it's no good for the starter or engine to be starting and stopping over and over...(in stop n go rush hour traffic it's particularly annoying because it can start and stop like 20 times over 30 feet) but I am sure the engineers have accounted for that being that so many vehicles employ this feature. I guess I'll just get used to (if at some point the universe grants me a raptor) starting it up, turning this off and engaging sport mode every time. I can't wait to get this truck!!
