So I just did the break-in oil change on my 2018 Raptor and find that the dipstick is a pain in the ass to read. When it's totally cold I can get a reading at the "MAX" level. When I drive the truck and then let it sit for 15 minutes like the manual suggests I can't tell at all where the oil level is. Does anyone else have this problem?

After draining the oil pan and filter for a good 45 minutes I put 6 quarts in. If there's 6 quarts in and the fill line when the engine is totally cold is at max then it should be good, right?

Same here. The dispstick belongs on a crap box rental fleet car with an MSRP of about $14,995.

If the oil is at that level on the dipstick and you’re not consuming any over time, then you should be good.

Same problems here. I look at the hash lines and pick the lowest point with full coverage
