What's the scoop on the next gen Raptor being released next month in Detroit?

That's what I'm saying. The truck will be shown in one month and there's absolutely no solid info on it. Only rumors. This is B.S. If you ask me. We need to hunt down Jamal Hemeedi and get some real info here.

I read an interesting article a few days ago saying ford will offer the raptor as an upgrade but on the normal frame because of the new aluminum thing their doing, kinda like a mini raptor no one will know for sure though lol.. Then you hear the stuff about the EB motor going into them... Now I also own a screw 4/4 150 with the EB it does have the bigger bed though.. imo it's a quicker start but totally different kind of power, I like the feel of 6.2 more but that's just personal preference. And really (for those that care) I averaged about 13 miles a gallon in the year I drive the EB, I'm at 12 with the raptor going on 3 weeks here with regular gas, I've switched to 91 yesterday and reset the trip computer, I'm going to drive it 1500 miles and see what the difference is,, so if the rumors are true I may get the same mpg in the raptor as the EB. Personally I don't care too much about mpg but am doing this for fun. Now if they came out with something as powerful that gets over 20 then I may care because that's a big enough difference to save noticeable amount of money with 8 trucks on the road. If they do only offer a watered down raptor than that's great for those of us that already own the thing..

I went Christmas shopping (or holiday shopping for the liberals) yesterday and ford had the new mustang 5.0 and EB on display, they had a course sat up and we're letting people get sideways and really drive the things hard (unfortunately I couldn't do it I had all the kids with me) I BSd with one of the ford drivers (and told him he was nuts for letting some of these idiots drive like that) he said ford is focusing on the mustang right now whatever that means,,, I wouldn't mind having one of those 5.0s lol, I'd trade my svt cobra in a heartbeat.

Last Raptor VIN?

2016 is so far away! Happy I bought my 2014, even if it was at the very end of the run.

Gee, and I thought that I got the last one. LOL

My SuperCrew was built on July 24th, with the last steel bodied F-150 rolling off the DTP assembly line on August 23rd.

You do realize the Raptor is the same frame as the F150. If he article you read did not even know that I would not believe a thing in it.

Ford is not going to do anything less with the next raptor. They like owning the market and having the Raptor as a Marquee truck that gets them tons of press and lots of sales. Plenty of people go in to look at the raptors and drive away in a normal f150. Even today when the Raptor is not being produced it still is more talked about then new trucks and even concept trucks

I thought they did modifications to the raptor frame?

Same frame, hell the reinforcement section on the newer frame to help with frame bending from people bottoming out on the factory bump stops might even be on the std F150 frames.

But you can build a Raptor by taking a F150 and replacing its fenders and bed and then swapping out the suspension and axel. You just would not have the electronics the raptor has like off road mode unless you swap the ECU and wiring harness. But for all intents and purposes the Raptor is a regular F150 frame

The Raptor's frame has more reinforcements than F-150 even though it's the same.

Some more rumors this time from Road and Track (click) about the new Raptor being unveiled in Detroit. Also Fords new performance line is called Ford Performance. It will unify SVT, Team RS, and Ford Racing as a single, cohesive global brand.
