2014 question

I was planning to have my running boards line x'ed but I notice the 2014's have a coating already. It's called durabed and looks pretty much like line x. My question is did the 2013's also have that feature? I saw a 2011 on the lot and the running boards looked totally different and even a different color. Just curious no big deal but very happy that Ford did that.

All the raptors from all years have had the same running board coating. perhaps the 2011 you saw were faded due to age.

Correct. My 2011's boards looked as good as my 2014's boards back in 2011...

Interesting. I wonder how the line x would hold up over the years then if you did line x them.

WOW --- the RB's have been coated from Day 1. Yes they will fade and so will the other products. Now for the bad part---being a little older you DO NOT put the products on the RB's to make them "look good" you will slip and bust your old butt! Being that you will just be keeping it for a couple of years as you said in another thread you will most likely not see much.

Don't worry about it just keep the slickum off of it.
