Why wouldn't you want to rip the cd on a computer and store it on a portable drive? This way you have a backup of all your music and don't have to repeat the process every time you get a new vehicle. Very easy to do and (if done with the right format/settings) will maintain a but perfect cd quality.

I was more disappointed that they got rid of the DVD drive.

Thats a great idea. Honestly, I am technology challenged and never really thought of that. Thanks!:yuno:

Lol..........Am I in for big change? I loved the system in my 2010.
The MFT concept is great... the layout is nice, the graphics look great, and the features on paper would seem great as well.

There are just so many bugs still, performance issues, and overall frustrations that it's actually caused Ford's quality ratings to drop substantially over the past few years. The maps are slow and clunky (and not as detailed as before), every function has a slight delay when you touch the screen, as opposed to the lightning fast system in the previous gen.

They just need to focus more time on developing the product, and I believe they released it years ahead of it's time... which is why they're having the issues they are now.

Hopefully it's not exactly the same system in my Focus that's in the trucks... because man, it blows hard.

Now, that is discouraging. My 2010 was my first experience with Nav and the whole Sony Radio concept. I would often tell others that was the highlight of the interior of the truck. The Nav on that thing got me out of more trouble, quickly, than I thought it would. I will be optomistic and hope for the best. :pepper:
