FWIW 2013 SCREW in April 16 had the fuse melt and the entire box replaced. Now realize they also relocated fuse to 70 or maybe it was just due to the new fuse box. Jan 17 exact same symptom, noticed a minor shudder as I was easing into a parking spot with half tank of gas. Would crank, but not start. Checked the fuse, which was fine. Towed to same Ford dealer to find this time was the fuel pump control module. Related or coincidence, either way I hope this is the last time it strands me. 78k miles

My '10 SCAB just started doing the same thing. Shut off to get gas, go to restart and just turns over! I checked fuse 27 and it's fine. Should I check Fuel pump control module next?

Thanks for any help!

I would check the FCM. Dealer told me that he hasn't seen this happen with frequency (both the fuses, box and FCM), but you never know.

Update to Raptor not starting issue

I wanted to post an update to the issue I was having. So I had the similar signs as others in this thread of a possible problem with the fuel pump, or fuel pump control module or the fuse/fuse box.

After the last two times filling the truck up it would not restart, it would just continue turning over. I had hoped after reading some threads that it was just the fuel pump fuse so checked it first, no luck, fuse was fine.

Since I'm out of warranty didn't go to dealer, went to a buddys shop who is a Master Porsche mechanic.

Turns out it wasn't the fuel pump or control module, it was the Purge valve in the engine compartment. The valve was stuck open so truck was flooding after filling it up causing it to not start till it sat for a couple minutes. Replaced the purge valve and truck is running better and starts right up.

Hope this helps out any others who have this issue as another possible cause to look at!!

Go to Ford I had the same problem it's a TSB a technical service bulletin not a full blown recall it's a problem with 2013 f150s where the fuel pump fuse shorts out causing the fuse to burn up they have a $12 fix by re routing the fuel pump fuse to a defrent slot.

Stumbled across this thread yesterday while searching for a repair manual. You guessed it... was looking to troubleshoot the would-not-restart condition others have mentioned. Truck runs fine, shut it off for 2 mins to get a soda at 7-Eleven, then wouldn't restart. Did it twice about 2 weeks apart before I parked the truck for a week until I could do some research on the problem. Was forced to drive it this past weekend to deliver some furniture. It died while I was driving! Was able to get it restarted after about 2 mins, then it ran fine the rest of the day. After I read this thread I checked the fuse and see the pics for yourself. Thanks everybody for posting your experiences!

Just an added note for record purposes and anybody with general curiosity - I'm at 102K miles.

Mods: Cat back + CAI

Previous issues: Fuel system - NONE, power steering hose fitting leak - hose replaced, rear axel vent hose leak - inner axle tube bearing races re-aligned to the correct position to prevent fluid overheat condition which led to expansion and blowing by the one-way check valve

Yup tsb on this should be a recall. Everyone needs to report this to the ntsb.

Same thing happened to me. I got the kit from Ford and fixed it my self since the dealer want like 200.
The directions that come with the kit are are written like shit.

Make sure you cut the right wire.

Fuse 27

FYI y'all: Just had my dealer install the fuse kit on my '13 Raptor, 99.6 K. Had no issues (the original fuse was pristine). Charge $147.
The peace of mind is well worth the $.
