2013 or 2014??

Trading in my Eco boost Limited for either a 2013 now on the lot or wait and order a 2014. You folks that know any huge difference between these models? All my reading says no but thought I would ask the experts. There is a loaded Terrian on the lot the dealer will cut 2 grand off MSRP or I can order at 800 under MSRP. Just want to be sure there is not anything out standing on the 14 model.

Well 2k under MSRP isn't bad at all for one sitting on the lot. However, the $800 under MSRP for placing an order is a ripoff. Most of us on here that are ordering 2014s are getting them for invoice or up to 1k over invoice. Not all dealers are willing to work with you, but somewhere on this forum is a list of those that are willing to place orders at a great price.

As for differences, 2014s have added Ruby red exterior color and Special Edition package. Everything else is pretty much the same.

I would try and order one at invoice. $2k off MSRP is a good deal though.

My dealer is not willing to work much on ordering but wants to get the ones he has on the lot off the lot. He has 12 and I guess he is ready to wheel and deal. I really can't see much of a change between the 13's and the 14's. I do not like the blue accents at all.

Where are you in the US?

I would order a 2014 if you don't need a raptor now. Simply put the 2013s are already 1 year old. In other words in 2015, a 2014 will worth more than a 2013. The selling price between the 2013 and 2014 is not that much different. Also if rumors are true, you will have the last raptor year made until the 2016s come out, assuming Ford produces another raptor. If there are no more raptors then you will have the last Raptor made.

All good points. I trade every other year so unless I fall in love with this truck I will only have about two years at the most. Looks like they really hold their value. I will see just how much the dealer really wants to discount the lot Raptors. If not I will seek out a dealer willing to deal on an ordered vehicle.
