Hello, it is that time to replace the alternator on my 2013 Gen 1 Raptor. Upon looking up alternators, I found that the stock ones have a hill descent control one and one without it. Obviously, my truck has this feature but what is the difference? Does it matter? Seems weird to me.

Thanks!

Hey. I have same year raptor. I think my alternator is going. The battery light came on and started smelling a little burnt smell.

What alternator did you end up going with?

You need the 200 Amp alternator. WITH hill descent. Also I wouldn’t recommend going with anything other than Motorcraft, aftermarket stuff is cheaper for a reason and doesn’t last nearly as long.
