Happy to hear you are finally back in the pilot's seat. Next year I will jump in your copilot seat for some Havoc runs. Maybe you will do a better job of staying on the trail than I did!

Are you still going to add the Rock Sliders you won?

If I was you and I was going to ride with Doc at the Havoc, I would invest in a LifeJacket....

Doc, you should consider trading those Rock Sliders in for some floats.

I do love your new Raptor. Enjoy!

It's ok, kick me in the nuts guys. I can take it.

That learning experience cost the insurance company a lot more than it cost me.

Bearclaw - that's really ****** about your job. I hope you line up a much better one soon. You're welcome in my truck; I am certain you would be much better at being an actual co-pilot than me (as opposed 200# dead weight in the cab).

I will be installing the rock sliders. I wonder if I LineX them, if they'd be more buoyant?

Am I the only one wondering what is going to happen to the sunken truck? Was it running when it went under? Or did you shut it off?

I had shut it off when I parked it, before taking the key to my wife. It was not running when it went in. Later I pulled the dipstick, and there was no water on it at all.

When the salvage company sold it, they were unable to get the ignition to turn on at all.

Glad you got your truck, Doc. I would be interested to see where your old truck turns up!

Condolences, and glad its just the truck....great presence of mind to not have the kids strapped in at the time. Also, good council on locking in the fronts if you suspect a slick ramp next go around. I've had some close calls and had to power load my boat several times (but "never" in Michigan mind you...its illegal) to get the tow vehicle moving due either to ramp angle or alge, but luckily never slid back into the deep blue, but can clearly see how this is possible.

Why would using the boat to assist getting the truck moving be illegal. That is what you meant by power load, correct?

Just read the entire post and I launch my boat a few times a year,, I have had the grand kids with me but never again will they be in the truck and in their car seats. The thought is terrifying.

Thanks for sharing and I am glad all is well in your universe again

My little exploder went in the lake a few years back. Sat over night pulled out in the morning drained water started and ran great. Never was the same so a week later I pulled the trigger and made it into a rock crawler
