we just had a temp generator for a shutdown at the hospital and i believe the guy said he couldnt transport the Gen with more than 200 gallons, they had to bring in a tanker to fill it the rest of the way to 600 gallons...not sure if this applies or not. i would def check all the state laws/DOT regulations...

Since this is a transfer tank and not an auxiliary tank, should be good to go..

Transfer tank will not run the engine without transferring the fuel into the main tank, first. An auxiliary tank will run the engine directly.

Instead of being gravity fed, it will have 12volt pump to transfer the fuel into the main tank. This way we can refill the tank on the move without having to stop. We will have to see if it will flip out computer and set codes..

This will save us time from having to jump off the highway to get fuel.. You might not think those 10-15 minutes means that much.. I will put it another way figuring 80mph it would mean we will be 20 miles in that 15 minutes. Or we will be able to make up those 20 miles that we fell behind the faster cars.

why I say when you do have to fill try seeing if you can use 2 fill nozzles instead of just one at the gas stations. I do when filling the semi takes less time. sometimes I use 3

I agree wilson.. every minute counts..
Hell, I even thought about the biobreak issue and doing the external catheter thing with a pass though the floorboard. This way we can keep fully hydrated without worrying about stopping..
