put a diablosport tune headers and cai and 130 is easy but the tires are not rated so that is the biggest mod. you can have all the power in the world you are in it for the long haul not a quarter mile.

More than that Wilson... Confirmed by several sources the drive shaft will hold that speed.. So custom drive shaft would be required.. Tires are problematic while trying to keep same overall height to retain gearing and not running 20" wheels or larger (barf).. They you got to think about brakes and stopping 3 tons of truck traveling at high speed.. Sway bars all the way around to control all the body roll.. Basically, everything that makes a Raptor a raptor...


As far as long tube headers and diablo tuner.. Since roush will be installing and tweaking pcm tune, wouldn't want to do anything to screw up their tweaks..

or roush. do some calculations you might be ok with 100mph with some + mph what is 110 at 6000 miles but the average will be 88mph or something so something to think about. I drove 3 miles top speed was 127 average was 56 one mile of that was getting to 127 and slowing down with in that one mile I was surprised the average was only 56

the main mod what I was talking about will be tires get good tires because flats will take that average mph way down.

I haven't fully committed to it. One part of me just wants to run the stock truck, and play it safe.. The other part wants to take this opportunity (on closed high banked track, or closed road course) and push the limits. In order to do that i start going through the long list of upgrades to break 100 mph and up barrier (and still being able to complete the whole 5000 mile round trip).

It is intimidating list of upgrades and time schedule and might be a 2014 Bullrun project..

Think I might have figured out a way to accomplish goals of Roush and keep my integrity..

I am contacting the organizers of the bullrun and seeing if I can bring 2 Raptors.. Yes, you saw that correct..
Keep my offroad beast the way it is, and have Roush bring a "back up" Raptor.. That just happens to be waiting at racetrack.. This way they get their "fastest raptor title" and i keep my truck intact...

Previous years there have been several teams with multiple vehicles.. I do not know if they paided multiple entry fees, or if it is planes, trains, automobile type deal. It doesnt matter what car the driver and co driver are in, on vehicle per entry fee..
