Did you reset the BMS (battery management system) after you changed the battery? All kinds of weird stuff can happen if the pcm thinks the battery is old and failing.

No I have not done that yet. I’ll research and see how to do that and revert. Thank you!

tried to do that method found on youtube; turn on with key, flash high beams 5 times, then brake for 5 times then turn off key and back on however no go.

Good morning! I was not able to start the grounding identification and re-work yet due to having to work late yesterday. I should be able to start some on Friday and Sunday. I appreciate yours and everyone's help in this matter! My father in law was able to put a socket on the harmonic balancer and turn it so the engine is not seized up.

Ground Strap See Note 1. This is the engine ground

*Right and left are referenced to drivers view as sitting in driver’s seat not to be confused view from standing in front of vehicle

KP = plastic kick panel (needs to be removed for access to grounding lug) at floor level, Driver’s side (DS) or Passenger’s side (PS)

When checking ground connections be sure to grasp the wire and wiggle at the ground lug connection. There have been many reports of the ground screw being tight (cross threaded or bottomed) but the lug has not been captured causing an intermittent ground connection.

The ground strap that is located to the right of the PCM is connected to the back of the passenger cylinder head. There is a double threaded stud that is used to hold the heater tube to the back of the head. The ground strap is grounded there.

The bigger nut is 13 mm and the smaller nut that tightens down the ground strap is 10 mm.
