I Line-X mine. I tried to glue them back on, touchup, paint, for years. Wish I would’ve went with Line-X sooner. I think there’s eight bolts per side, took them off in their parking lot handed them to them, came back a couple days later put them back on in the parking lot.
Thanks for the reply!
Did Line-X sandblast or otherwise strip them?

I did my 2012 boards myself. Remove boards, coat with a good paint stripper and wrap in plastic overnight. Peel and scrape everything you can off then find a local sandblasting and have them finish anything you missed. Clean after blasting, use the Raptor liner brand, it is far superior to anything else on the market. Use their primer, let dry, then use the 2 part urethane raptor liner(on Amazon, comes with sprayer, all you need is a good air compressor) make sure you completely cover them top to bottom, side to side, except for mounting hole surface.

Let dry for at least 24hrs, I let mine cure for 72 before install. Used a thin film of black RTV on mounting pads when bolted up. I have had 0 issues with peeling since, even through harsh MI winters.
The issue with the factory coating is they don't completely cover the boards on the bottom, allows for water/salt to get in under the coating, causing peeling. If you cover them completely, there is no way for anything to get underneath the coating.
USE THE RAPTOR LINER, IT IS FAR SUPERIOR TO ANTHING ELSE ON THE MARKET

Thanks for the pics and great process description. I’m in an apartment building right now so stripping and painting might be out of bounds. Your refurb ones sure look good though
I used to work housing maintenance at an Air Force Base in Florida and one of the houses I was assigned to make repairs and turn around for another military member. I found an airman had been rebuilding his motorcycle in the living room with complete engine, teardown, etc. so I’m sure your neighbors won’t mind

Forgiveness not permission right?

Might cost my security deposit but let’s be honest I wasn’t gonna get that back anyway.
