Quite a few pics on autotrader right now of the trucks. I found a silver SCrew and a white Screw.

Awesome find! :peace:

I wish they would have taken the pics outside though.. I may have to reconsider race red as an option... I am just not digging on the Raptor it in those pictures..

...I would have to agree with you! I was torn between the Molten and Race Red. After seeing these pics, I'm ecstatic that I went with Molten!!! Definitely a unique color.

This red looks like any other truck just with the Raptor flares and hood added on IMO...

Pity about the Raptor in Plano. The powers that be are determined to get an ADM. :flipthebird:

They don't need to bend the laws of physics. And the raptors 100 lb wheels aren't like they're 50 lbs heavier than any wheels before. Rubber is lighter than metal, earlier trucks with 20" or 22" wheels weigh just as much if not more. My 00 HD truck wheel/tire combo weighs 95 lbs a pop.

There's still a good amount of stuff Ford can do to improve mileage on trucks. And the 6.2 is an outdated dinosaur before it even hit the trucks, just look at the differences where it lags behind the other drivetrain lineup that are touting improved performance and improved fuel economy over previous year drivetrains (3.7 V6, 3.5 TT V6, 5.0 V8). Aluminum blocks, 4v heads, electric power steering, direct injection.

I strongly believe the 6.2's days are limited. I bet within a few years it'll share the base powerplant with the 2013 Shelby with a 5.8L aluminum block 4v V8, just as the N/A varient while the Shelby is the s/c varient. And it'll probably make more hp as N/A than the 6.2, and better mileage.

The 6.2L is a brand new motor they brought in to replace the V10 on the Super Duties. It brought better power and fuel economy. I wasn't just talking tires killing MPG, it was the SUM of everything listed. The 6.2L actually gets damn good gas mileage for the conditions. I average 13-14 in daily driving and I have seen 17+ cruising on the highway. However, you cannot cruise over 65mph, it just starts to plummet. I hope they keep the 5.8 away from the Raptor. The 6.2L is a much better solution for a truck.

In case you missed the reason the 6.2L exists:

ROBUST, FORD TOUGH: ALL-NEW 6.2-LITER GASOLINE ENGINE COMPLEMENTS 2011 FORD SUPER DUTY | Ford Motor Company Newsroom

Also a thread with Q&A from the Lead Engineer on the 6.2L, discussing the design of the motor and how it's been designed for peak fuel efficiency.

Ask the engineer for the new 6.2l gas engine! - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

To sum it up, It's not the 6.2L killing MPG. It's the Raptor.
