sync and mft are essentially the same (user wise), however software wise, they are not. you wil also need to move the display above the radio since 13/14 do not have it. and the 54 pin plug that plugs into the back of the screen is different than the 24 pin plug on the back of the 12 and under models. its not worth it. bottom line

and 2012 did not have cooled seats. only 13/14. heated seats, yes.

That's all I needed to hear. Thanks for the input bud. I'll just hope and pray like crazy that Ford comes to their senses and offers a V8 option for the 2017

I'm going to have to check my VIN because it was listed as a 2012 but it has heated and cooled seats

For the most part it has been the work horse I expected. I have had a few very minor issues door not unlocking, hood graphic faded to crap in the first year, most everything else has been problem free...

Good to hear. My remote start has acted up a few times, turned the engine over but didn't crank or didn't respond at all. So that's got me a little worried. Other than that I've loved every minute of ownership

i guess i was wrong. when i was looking at getting a 12 cooled seats weren not an option i saw. regardless, the 2013/14 trucks only have the controls available through the touch screen so integrating a newer radio into a 12 is still not an option

You convinced me it's not worth it anyway. Fingers crossed for that V8 2017!
