For the guys who were there and got to use my air deflator, they really liked it. So I thought I’d post up what it is so if anyone would like to get one. It takes about a minute or so to air down, but it keeps the valve stem completely incased so there is not chance to lose it. It also allows you to check the air pressure while the tire is being deflated. It’s a nifty little tool and I was lucky to have a friend by it for me for a birthday present.

Now I just have to find a way to air the tires back up… :emotions122:

I have Staun Deflators for my Jeep, but I have them set at 15psi. I might pick this up for the Raptor. In regards to airing up; get a Powertank, I love it. I have a rollbar mount for the Jeep, I have the carry bag for the Raptor; I use it around the shop and home too.

I ran mickey baja claw ttc. WSI has new nitto trail grapplers. Moto had new toyo open country m/t and everyone else was stock. Everyone was aired down to around 20-30

Any consensus on what worked best?

So this is CO2 tank only? Where do you refill and how many tires will it air up? I had a tire come off the rim, so it took a lot to air it up - plus 3 other tires. Compressor strength: although it takes longer, it never runs out.

You run a compressor with a tank. Then you don't have to worry about compressor duty cycles, also you can run air tools.

That pic is killer!!!!

Joe

THAT is cool !!!

So how do you get your uploaded pics to photobucket to a forum post in picture format - and not just as a link code that others have to click to see?

You can buy 10, 15 or 20lb tanks. I run a 10lb in the Jeep and me and my buddy get 3 trips before I need it filled, so ~24 tire fills going from 15-35psi, which coincides with Powertank's chart:

http://powertank.com/graphics/nc900.gif

If I was running a tank exclusively for the Raptor, I'd probably run the 15 or 20lb since you have so much space.

As far as filling it, I have two fire extinguishers shops with in 10 min. that will fill it for $10 why I wait. Best part about a CO2 system vs. a compressor is the fillup time. It only takes about 30-45 seconds per tire. And it's portable.

Oh and forgot to mention, setting beads is not a problem. The air comes out at such a higher pressure, it pops the bead right back on. I've had to do this a couple times when someone loses a bead on a Jeep run... I become popular real quick!
