Good video.

Side note: How easy to use was Stupeflix? I've never used it but I'll be having to make 4 videos this year for my architecture class and I'm looking for something simple.

it couldn't be easier to use. up to 1m is free, then it's either 3 bucks or 5 bucks for HD and longer length vids.

That's not a bad price at all. Each of my vids I think will be like 5 minutes long, but for only $5 to make it look professional, is worth it to get a great grade on our projects. Thanks man.

I think the new one kind of works like a limited slip and is the next best thing up front to a locker. The old set up is an open differential. I think front lockers can break easily because of driver error. I think the front lockers can only be used at low speeds. I may be wrong.

The Torsen differential is a purely mechanical device; it has no electronics, clutches or viscous fluids.

The Torsen (from Torque Sensing) works as an open differential when the amount of torque going to each wheel is equal. As soon as one wheel starts to lose traction, the difference in torque causes the gears in the Torsen differential to bind together. The design of the gears in the differential determines the torque bias ratio. For instance, if a particular Torsen differential is designed with a 5:1 bias ratio, it is capable of applying up to five times more torque to the wheel that has good traction.
However, if one set of wheels loses traction completely, the Torsen differential will be unable to supply any torque to the other set of wheels. The bias ratio determines how much torque can be transferred, and five times zero is zero.

so if im not going to be going crazy in the dunes a 2011 is good enough

The Raptor in general is an outstanding 4x4 vehicle, no matter what year. With the addition on Torsen front diff, just adds to its offroad capibility. The addition of two speed automatic 4 wheel drive. The 2012 Raptor should be an amazing off and on road vehicle!
