i wonder how the computer is going to react with to much technology on its hands. specially when u go off-road. dust and water may damage alot. is the technology built in the new raptor ready for this?

what i mean is that i have experience with the range rover vogue supercharged and the sport hse. both tempt to malfunction alot computer wise after a while and heavy off roading. suspension, the special button when you go sand, rocks, snow... terrain (dont know how to call it), and many more.

typical question for me to ask to reduce repairs since we haven't got in the congo a dealer ready to diagnose these problems. i have to diagnose it myself in our shop. we have a Chinese car dealership "Great Wall" (dont ask why this brand) haha. we may not have a strong garage but we are almost the best since we receive Range Rovers, Cayennes and Audis...

You have a right to be concerned since you don't have a dealership anywhere near you.

Many Raptor owners have put their trucks to the test as has Ford. And we've seen a variety of hiccups but nothing serious. These a trucks built Ford tough unlike the fancy SUVs built by Land Rover, Porsche and Audi.

I agree with Dan. Ford took all the good things BMW designed into the Range Rover...then sold it to India. Shouldn't be any issues they have been testing the crud out of the Raptors in the desert for the last 3-4 years.

Agree! Ford did a great job of using the technology in the company's they owned... Range Rover, Jaguar, Volvo, Austin... you can see shades of all those company's in the Ford products of today... smart!

Well I guess you are wright guys. But only time will decide. Becoz no one knows what happens with a lot of technology.
My hopes are for the best.

Dan, i was surprised that we have a dealership here. But its good for nothing. They only sold some cars for a limited time then stopped couple of years ago. They dont even have parts and repair shop...

So couple of month ago I wanted to negotiate with ford US to see if I can get the dealership. But someone beat me to it. Dang!!! But am not satisfied on what they are offering. They have the Nissan dealership also. And I guess they are more interested in Nissan. What a shame!!! I've asked a price for the 6.2 raptor. They told me 68grand with some options. Too expensive since u have a total of around 20 to 30% of the overall cost of the car to pay as fees shipment bla bla bla. Hehe.

So I guess am gonna buy the car from the states fix it up like I want it and send it. Better huh.
