That's interesting. Your truck was made during the period covered by the recall, but the dealer says your truck is excluded. How did the dealer make that determination, Jim? Did you read the dealer your VIN?

I called them and gave them the vin. I also went on Fords website and entered my vin and it too said i didnt have any recalls. I dont know

Whew! It looks like I missed it by a month. This recall covers F-150s assembled in Dearborn from Feb 11, 1011 through Sep 8, 2012 and at the Kansas City plant from Apr 5, 2011 through June 13, 2012. My truck was assembled at the Dearborn plant in January 2011.

I'm confused, that article has a different date range than the original article in this thread. This is from the first post:
