2010 6.2L whipple supercharged - what spark plugs

I’m acquiring a 2010 6.2 that apparently has a whipple on it. The dealer has no idea. I showed up to test drive it. Noticed the whine when I was looking at it. I pop the hood and see this.




So anyway, I’m looking to do a tune up on it. Change all 16 spark plugs to something good for boost. I have no history on the truck so this is standard maintenance for me. I drove the hell out of it yesterday and it runs like a champ.

NGK LTR7BHX (95605) or
NGK LTR7IX (9510) gapped to 0.030. Just depends on whether you want to go Ruthenium or Iridium. The former is supposedly supposed to handle boost a bit better, but both are a heat range colder which is recommended regardless. The 9510’s are what Whipple recommends and what JDM includes with their kits as well.

Before changing plugs I would just pull a couple to see what were put in and if they are new enough to stay since a few holes are somewhat difficult to get to.

So I just received my NGK LTR7BHX (95605) Spark plugs
Don’t these come gapped at 0.031 already for boosted engines? They say don’t gap but I will check anyway. Is there a safe better way to Gap these other than with the traditional gap tool? Thanks for your help

feeler gages and a light touch don't force gages into tip it will break off.

Congrats on the truck and definitely a complete tune up plugs, wires , coils . How many miles ? I just did my 2010 it was 3 hrs of work and two hours of mistake along with becoming a contortionist . I was going to rebuild the coils with new boots & guts had the first one s plastic disintegrate when pulled the boot just ordered new ones . I did notice some of the old plugs looked almost new and some were definitely worn . My truck ran perfectly before and even now with the one coil being duct taped . Had a 24 “ blow pipe and gear wrench plug kit along with a wobble extension + a couple other extensions made the job easy . Used a small and medium torque wrench . Tape all the flex joints on the wobble socket joints to add rigidity.

Whipple recommends gap to be .028 for Stage II
