Still trust your buddy at the Toyota body shop ? Lol.
Making deals with the devil.
lol. completely. he wasnt there the first day i went to look at the paint. he wouldnt have even let me come down to the shop. and yes i trust him. have with at least 5 different vehicles. plus, lifetime warranty on paint/workmanship as long as i own the truck
installed a few more things today:
Corsa exhaust - love it. really like that i can drive around with no drone whatsoever, but its more pronounced than stock esp. at wot. was able to install the exhaust in my garage without cutting the factory exhaust up. loosened the two clamps holding the stock tips on then slid those off. removed the two hangers after the factory muffler by removing a total of 3 10mm bolts, and sliding the hangers off the factory exhaust. then i pried the hanger just before the factory muffler off. then i dropped the spare tire and loosened the clamp between the factory resonator and muffler. now there was enough room to rotate the muffler to move the pin on the pipe between the resonator and muffler out of its notch and allow it to slide free. from here i was able to remove the factory exhaust from the resonator pipe. in order to remove the exhaust completely out from under the truck i placed a jack under the frame rail on the passenger side and jacked the truck up and it gave me enough room to rotate the entire muffler/tail section assembly and get it over the rear axle and pull it out from underneath the middle of the truck. then i released the jack, reattached the factory hanger mounts and installed the corsa per their instructions.
DeeZee tailgate assist - no more dropping the tailgate and having it slam down:
JLT oil seperator: keep some of the oil out of the intake track. ran one similar to this on my 2002 harley f150 and it kept a ton of oil from reaching the blower.
also done - but didnt take pics - drop-in k&n and factory bed extender.
