When i was a teenager the starter went out on my Dads Van , after removing and taking moms cars to get new starter , teeth strip off timing belt . Called Grandpa to pick us up . Go get new starter then home install , then tow my moms cars home. One Long day. Then fix my moms cars the next day . Another long day .
When it rains it pours sometimes. Sounds like everything worked out for you. Also I just got my scab back today new rotors, calipers, and pads on both sides up front. Good as new until next time.

So update to the issues with both trucks. My 2010 scab the front passenger side brake caliper seized heated up the front end pretty good so getting new rotors brake pads calipers on both sides upfront.
On the wife’s 2014 screw she has a broken valve spring number five on the driver side after some investigation by our mechanic. They’re gonna pull the valve cover off the passenger side also tomorrow morning and look and make sure there’s nothing else wrong and then replace the valve spring and all appropriate mechanical items to go along with it. Said it didn’t look like there was any issue with the valve collapsing into the piston so hopefully when they make the repairs all will be good. From what I’ve read it’s pretty common in a 6.2 for this to happen.
Funny thing is my wife’s truck only has 42,000 miles on it but things happen. Glad it’s not worse.

So are they only going to replace that ONE valve spring? Shouldn't they ALL be changed? I'd hope there would be a really high quality aftermarket spring we could go to preventatively, I'd be down with that...

So I replaced the broken one along with new valve covers and other parts. Right now runs good as new and I didn’t want to replace all of them at this time. Something to think about in the future, but I’ve never had one go out on all my Raptors before, so that’s the first

This is the go to for stock cams. The Livernois springs are only meant to be used with their cam and not the stock one.

Ooooooh, very nice, thanks Blue Herron! It looks like those PAC Racing springs in your link are 125# spring pressure and the Livernois are 130#. I'm guessing that unnecessarily high spring pressure likely provides no benefits to the oem cam, only additional drivetrain wear and parasitic loss, right? I've got a ford dealer installed new engine with 7k miles, so I'd like to do a few things to improve the durability.
