I just did this mod. I have had my truck almost a year and had the bag of poly fill almost as long. This really only takes about 5 minutes. It made a small but noticeable difference in the bass. Worth doing if you have poly fill but it won't be a night and day difference in your system.

I did this today as well. Had the raptor for about two months and could tell a good 15-20% improvement. Took me longer to find a pillow that wouldn't be missed to tear open than to do the mod.

"Sorry hun, I don't know where that pillow went to.. ":)

Pillow heaven. It was sacrificed for a good reason.

Lol I did the same thing. We were replacing our pillows in the master and moving them to the guest bedroom. Since we were just going to throw away the guest bedroom pillows, I ripped one open and used that to do mine haha

Okay... I think you guys are ******** with me. No discernible difference and now wife is pissed (down a pillow).

What I do now know is rear speakers suck. Why such a big difference in sound from front to back? Before I go ripping stuff out just to see what's in there... What's in there? Are fronts different from rears?

I was perfectly happy before and now I need more new stuff.

Wife is really gonna be pissed.

I don't know all the details of our systems, I'm not a sound expert here, so I'm no help here, but overall yes our systems suck. Am I gonna spend more money in this area? no. But that's me.

But I'm shocked you can't tell a difference. My wife noticed and I didn't even tell her I did anything to the sub (or about the resulting "vanishing" pillow she keeps talking about..).

Sooo what are your sound settings? I've got bass maxed, mid nearly there and treble nearly there, fade set back 2-4 clicks back to the rear and speed setting @6.

Also how tight did you pack the sub box? Too tightly packed and it won't give you what your looking for.

Overall you should expect a 10-20% improvement depending on well you did.

Also the type of music you listen to will either highlight the difference or won't. Dub step friday is about to drop. :)
