Hi everybody!

200.gif

Since I have had my truck for almost two years now I figure I need to start a build journal so its easier to keep track of all the things I have done on the truck. Its a 2011 Molten Orange SCREW, which is obviously the best combination and fairly rare being available for one year only. I had a ingot silver 2013 before but had to sell it to get my house. after I got that all settled I really wanted to get back into a raptor and I always wanted a Molten orange super crew with the digital mud decals. Browsing offer up one day and I found one! Checked it out and everything looked ok so i pulled the trigger. 129k miles for $26k, clean title.

Here is what she looks like the day I picked it up:

First thing I did was get rid of that ugly brush guard(not only was it ugly but it was very flimsy). As a previous Gen Juan owner, the other thing straight away was get the oem fuse 27 relocation kit.

Found a great deal on a set of 13/14 beadlock capable wheels, was so glad to get those on instead of the 10-12 cast wheels, also got rid of the crappy two piece lugs for chrome 1 piece(what the hell was ford thinking with the horrible designed two piece!?)

I do fabrication and waterjet operation for work so I made some custom brushed stainless SVT badges for my Ford performance diff cover and the weather tech mats

A little retro reflective tape really makes it pop at night under the truck.

I wanted to find a bed rack I could mount a roof top tent on that would work with my tonneu cover. The only one that I found was by Billie Bars, but they are pretty pricey for what they are... Decided to put my Fab and CAD skills to use and make a set of my own(sorry, I wont make anymore for anyone else as I'm not interested in making money off someone else's hard work and design)

Worked awesome to mount the Tuff Stuff Ranger 3 roof top tent I got(now its time to do some camping!)

The most recent part of the truck I have been working on is the shocks. It looks like the shocks have been rebuilt at some point by the previous owner since the rear remote reservoirs have shrader vavles on them. I think its still time to do something because the fronts feel pretty blown(passnger front is also leaking). After some research I decided I was gonna upgrade to 2019+ Live valve take offs(I like the OEM+ type of builds).

A bit crusty...

Ok lets do this!

Old stock mount cut out and new KHC mount welded in!

The rears are all done, now I need to find some time to get the front ones done, they are more involved. I also need to get some new spark plugs as I want to change those before I weld in the new KHC front buckets.

Gonna try to get the front shocks installed this weekend. In the mean time I have found a place to mount the SDI e-click interface. SDI only gives a mount for the gen 2 so I had to come up with my own. I decided to use the headlight switch location. In the two years owning the truck I think I have only moved the headlight switch off auto once.

Ordered an extra headlight switch off eBay to hack up and make my mount. Cut up and made a insert to hold the SDI interface:

e-click mounted into the switch housing.

Looks like it’s supposed to be there!

If I decide I really want the headlight switch accessible I’ll prob extend the harness and use the passenger 12v socket slot for the headlight switch.
