I used to be mod and administrator on a few other forums, We used to have some users where we would have to approve every post they made.
Just an idea..
I haven't really seen any of his posts break any of the forum rules. I just see a bunch of cry babies that don't know how to ignore someone. You dont HAVE to see his posts....
Meh. What you're saying is that the troll is better at his game than we are.
Well, they always are. It's easy to tear something down - all you need is the desire to do it. I can ignore his posts, but I'd rather not have to. And it's not just his posts, but the inevitable counter posts and flaming that ensues. You end up having to wade through all that shit in every thread you click on. Why would anyone want to put up with that?
I've managed a forum before, and people like this guy are just toxic. They're good at riling people up because they just don't give a shit. The best thing an admin can do is to give them a 30 day time out, and if they start up again when they return, make it permanent. That's not really the best thing you can do - it's unfortunately the only thing you can do. And if you do it, then it ends there and a few weeks later no one even remembers there was a problem.
Haven't seen any of his posts break forum rules. I see a buncha cry babies that don't know how to use the ignore feature.
