I think it does drain but probably not a crazy amount. I have a small 30w solar panel mounted to my bedrack that keeps my battery topped off. Center console USB's appear to work on mine.
Oh ok that's good. Do you have a picture of your solar panel install? I am curious. Thanks for the quick reply!

Since you all have had these units installed for some time now do any of you have issues with battery drain? I have heard that these don't fully turn off so that gives them the quick bootup ability after the truck is started. Also has anyone confirmed that the stock USB connections still work in the center console? I am awaiting my units arrival as well so I am excited!

As Radelow said they do cause a drain, but nothing crazy. I generally just start or drive mine every 3-4 days and it's fine. If it's gonna sit for a while it has a battery maintainer on it. Also the stock USB connectors do still work.

So i got mine installed.....It is nice. picture is crips and clean.

I will say the reverse camera isnt as quick coming up as OG sync2 is. but nothing adjusting to the 1 or 2 second delay.

Have yall found any tips or tricks yet?

How about the best wat to use your phone on it? i notice you can pick up via sync or the unit.

I wish the front and rear camera worked with the camera setup in the device and not just sync. id like to be able ot turn on the front camera when ever i want and not have to use the sync under 15mph route.

I am on the fence about installing one of these. One thing that may sway me one way or the other is;
Does it improve the audio output at all? I recently replaced the speakers/tweeters with JL Audio and a Pioneer sub in the original sub housing with some polyfill. Honestly was hoping it would sound better than it does.
BUT... if this helps with the audio at all, it may be worth it for me.

Did you upgrade the amp? If you are using the stock amp with upgraded speakers it will either stay the same or get worse. Just depends how out of whack the speaker impendence and sensitivity is with the factory amp.

I havent touched anything else. Still trying to understand the factory amp. Such as, its my understanding that it has to be used to utilize the Sync 2 features.
