I don't know what's up with all your MFT issues. Besides the radio freezing up for 20 seconds or so it has been fine for me. I do miss some of the options the SYNC system had but besides that the MFT has been great

Ever since the dealership "upgraded" my MFT a month or so ago I have more problems than before the upgrade.

1. Several second pause after hitting the voice command button and after saying a command.
2. Starting the truck, MFT can't remember if I was listening to CD or Sirius and often seems to default to my music thumb drive.
3. Asking to play certain artists after recent additions to my thumb drive MFT freezes as I push the >> button.

Not happy about it.

I'd be happy with a 10+ second delay on any of the MFT functions. My issue with the MFT has several items:
1.) NAV is completely useless. It will just freeze on a specific part of the route and never ever move again. I mean like NEVER.
2.) The clock is ALWAYS wrong. Even when I reset it to the correct time, it will FFWD 10+ minutes or even 10+ hours all by itself. My wife says the Raptor is a "Time Machine".
3.) The Date. Sometimes it says the correct date, sometimes it says Jan 01, 1900. Sometimes it says tomorrow's date. More evidence to the fact that it might just be a "Time Machine"...
4.) Back up Camera - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If its not in the mood to work, well, it just won't.
5.) Sirius signals are intermittent. If there is a leaf from a tree somewhere within a 1 mile radius, the broadcast is interrupted. It's. Like. Getting. Piecemeal. Informa...

So, yeah, I'd ecstatic with just a slight delay in ANY function of this POS.

...And it's back at the dealership to review the problems ONCE AGAIN. I might or might not have it back by tonight. Either way, they have had the truck for enough time to start considering the California Lemon Law... I can state that the safety concern is the distraction caused by the issues involved with the MFT. We'll see what they come up with for a fix.

It has been frustrating. The sync and mft were one of the attractions to ford.

Ive had the screen freeze on me.

The back up camera activate with the other icons still there like the video feed was the background

The sound system always defaults to AV when I start it with a wait time and advise to unplug all USB devices to access the AV,

The gps puts up locations via sync. The target location is presented and selected. The actual destination is completely wrong from what was selected.

The radio has frozen to moderate volume with the steering controls left useless for the entertainment, radio, voice activation .etc. the media buttons were unreaponsive. The physical volume knob and touch screens were also unusable.

It's a huge distraction. In a huge truck that already defers to using voice commands since it locks out the keyboard for safety reasons.

I imagine using any aftermarket JB programs to use the video, camera at any time would void the factory warranties. But would JB programs help or keep the same bugs.

I have an iPhone 4 that I've been using. The Bluetooth option makes the convenience worth the price for the added options. It's a pain to always have to plug in devices and forget it in the truck anytime you leave for the store.

Same here. I have issues once in a blue moon, but overall works great. My wife's 2011 Edge has it and it completely blanked on her once and she had to have the whole module replaced but I haven't had any such issues.

i posed this somewhere else but a list of the issues that I have been having

So I've been having real problems with MFT. Not looking to vent, just want to see if anyone else is having the same issues.

1. navigation slow...ill start out at home and it will take a few miles or more sometimes for the navi to update my location...it just freezes at my start location.
2. Bluetooth Audio sketchy...sometimes it works great and sometimes not at all (using iPhone 5)
3. Audio (radio) slow....sometimes freezes up and I can't change stations
4. Phone calls...ill end a call on my phone and it won't end on the MFT even when I press end on the MFT the call won't end on the MFT (call is ended on the phone) but I won't be able to use the radio because it thinks I'm on the phone still.
5. Random slowness and lag then system goes into "scheduled maintenance" I know this normal but sometimes it will go in and out 3-4 times.
6. General lag....ill press buttons and nothing will happen...then after a min or more it will catch up and "remember" all my button presses and go through them.
7. Press Bluetooth audio and nothing happens...2 min later it switches but audio still stays in phone.
8. Pressed My Home on the navi...the computing route bar came up and basically froze...couple minutes later it computed...

Like I said I'm not looking to rag on the MFT system...just want to know if anyone is having the same problem and possible fixes...I did the update in Feb, haven't checked if there is a new one. I'm also hesitant to take it to a dealer...we all know how that will go.

Haven't had the amount of issues as some of you but I agree it's garbage. It was fine when i first got it but now it rarely ever knows were i'm at, the GPS doesn't freeze but it's usually .1-.5 miles off in some randomly changing direction. And the other day it kept freezing when i started the truck said nav card was messed up and would not leave that screen. tried starting without the card in still froze up, it took me about 20 minutes of starting and turning off my truck before it was usable; the gps is almost always nonfunctional.

It's at the dealer now so hopefully they can fix it or figure something out, i didn't pay all that extra $$$ to have something i can't use. No excuse for a smartphone being better at gps, playing music, ect. . .

Has there been any fixes or ways to reset the mft other than turning the truck on and off? Has your dealers been able to fix the issues?
