As far as a joke goes learn some damn math!!! two 8s dont equal a 16 in surface area! two 8s equal 402 square inch while a single 10 equals 314 square inch.

314 vs 402 is not double and for a 16" cone it would be 804.

Been around both and I can tell you go with the 10! Lower bass Hz and can save some space.

dude chill out! last truck i had the 10 it sounded great but these new dual 8's sound just that much better! 12's are nice in another truck i started out with just 2 12's then went 4 12's. the 4 were loud won 1st at a sound off. then i went with a bed cut an had a total of 6 12's 2 alternators 4 batteries an it was off the chain. so yes a 12 will hit lower hz's but these 8's arnt far behind. thats all i got man. itll be like havin 1 15! lol

I'm getting a custom ported box done with 2 8W3v3 JLs.

I like a tight focused bottom end, I'm not trying to reproduce home theater lows. It's all about the balance for me.
