They shouldn't be making promises of 'summer delivery' and handing out build weeks/days if they're basing those dates on supply chain assumptions. I'd rather have them tell me they don't know as opposed to getting 5 different dates. Every time I start to get excited about it the can gets kicked down the road a bit more. Not sure how you can blame ford. You know whats going on in the industry.
I'm with ya. Summer release/availability seems like it's more of "maybe". I think we all would be a lot more happy if we got emails saying "sorry for delays we are having issues with .......". But no one knows anything. It would really help out with the wait. Luckily I've only moved a few times since last week and I'm holding steady at a day now. Hopefully it sticks as it's 2 weeks from tomorrow. Should I even get excited about a window sticker next Friday yet....cause I have doubts. They shouldn't be making promises of 'summer delivery' and handing out build weeks/days if they're basing those dates on supply chain assumptions. I disagree. Look how frustrated the unscheduled guys are. Ask them if they would rather have a date that might move, or still know nothing. They shouldn't be making promises of 'summer delivery' and handing out build weeks/days if they're basing those dates on supply chain assumptions. I think the unscheduled group is one of two possibilities, 1. There's really something going on and delaying new orders from being scheduled. Or 2. There dealer never had a 21 allocation in the first place.I disagree. Look how frustrated the unscheduled guys are. Ask them if they would rather have a date that might move, or still know nothing.
The no allocation is a likely cause. There are priorities and parts constraints. No one knows the scheduling algorithm, or we would all be ordering trucks the way the arrive fastest. I think we are going to see a lot more unscheduled as we near the end of the year and they need to commit to 2021 builds.I think the unscheduled group is one of two possibilities, 1. I’m thinking the latter…ymmv.I think the unscheduled group is one of two possibilities, 1. There's really something going on and delaying new orders from being scheduled. Or 2. There dealer never had a 21 allocation in the first place.
Now we're build brothersbuild day of 9/24. Hopefully it sticks
