Or y'all can leave it as is and maybe take possession of your truck a couple of weeks later. In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter?
Yep cause the feature sucks and if it may save time and speed it up it's worth it.
00, do you know if this is something that can be disabled after? Like if we took it to a Ford dealer found they disabled it for you?
No the Ford dealer can't do anything I work at one. But read the auto start stop thread on these forums there's other ways to disable ect.

Honestly on a base level kind of thinking I agree with you. Literally not the end of the world. But I haven't gone on a vacation in 2-3+ years and I would have loved to have the truck while I'm chilling at the beach house in the OBX this October. I have maybe 7-10 days from production to take delivery in order to take it on this trip. Didn't even cross my mind in June when I ordered this might be a complication.
Add in the constant schedule shuffle, orders being placed ahead of you, getting pushed back, dealers not knowing anything, unable to modify the order watching everyone else make changes, selling current truck while the market is hot.. yea the whole process has been an annoying headache. When you spend this kind of money you set a certain kind of expectation..

I didn't want to have to go this route but it seems like there are 2 decent ways to bypass that won't **** up your warranty, removable, no risk of shorting our your electrical system, or mess with the towing. 1 being there's a harness you can wire inside the dash that memorizes the last position the button was left on. Or 2 there's an eliminator you can plug into the diagnostic port that also memorizes the last position you left the button. The fact I would have to push this button every day (when not in sport mode) for the next 5-8 years on start up is ******* annoying and utterly senseless they designed it to ALWAYS be on.

I'm totally with you on all of this. Be thankful it's not like last few model years of gm where you can't turn it off there's no button or setting. Luckily I was planning to do a FPG tune on it as they are working on a procal setup "soon" for gen3. Whether it fully pans out they don't know but least it's in works, and I could have disabled it as well. My biggest reason is if it helps with manufacturing then so be it I'm an employee and would love to help the process if I can save a chip at least. Secondly I hate the feature and if I'm keeping the truck it's one less thing to fight with every time I start it, it's a raptor or even a mustang let's say.....u don't need that no one cares about mpg ha. Thirdly and final, if it may help with speeding up the process maybe? Then screw it this thing has been the biggest lack of info I've ever seen in multiple years of being at the dealer. I only found the bulletin by accident when it popped up on my homepage last week confirming it can be done. So I chose to dive into it and push a little. If it pushed me out further cause I made a change oh well, if it helps oh well great. Regardless I hate the stupid thing anyway and just want to enjoy my truck as soon as i can, I'm not impatient, honestly just overly excited. It's the first vehicle I've special ordered, but only the second vehicle I've bought new. I'm 35 in October, bought a 14 mustang gtcs premium in 14 new(first new car). Sold it and the gen 1 for this as I'm overly excited to have a teched out bada** new raptor. So I feel for all of us.

Sometimes the auto-start/stop stuff is built into the design to help pass epa requirements. I know this is the case for many European manufacturers, not so sure if it applies to American industry. I plan on getting the Autostop Eliminator as I already have a build date and don't want to void/change it by requesting a change to my order. However, I echo many of the sentiments you posted. I'm psyched for all of us to get the new Gen 3!

Yeah that’s what I’m talking about. I truly hate that thing. It’s a nuisance. With that said, first world problems. Suck it up you big baby! I can feel the hate swelling. Strike me down...
