Hello All, new to trucks and my first Ford. I have a 2012 Raptor extended cab with 65k miles. I bought it to go dune bashing. Truck has been running great until I decided to do some mods - off-road bumper, winch, lights and aftermarket beadlocks - nothing crazy. Can someone give me a clue to what that sound is in the video? It sounds like a gunshot and the whole truck vibrates.

The truck was on top perch and in 4Hi in the video, truck has since been put back to mid perch, and it is still making the same sound.

So far I have replaced
IWE’s
All LCA bushings
Drivers side axle
Ball joint
Engine mounts
Steering rods
Anti rollbar bushings

Just incase it makes a difference the beadlocks are fuel zephyr 17x9. Offset -15.

many thanks

bobby

Yeah, differential. Pull the fill plug and look for chunks (the fill plug is magnetic). It's possible you broke a tooth.

... thanks for that. Will check in out in the next few days (holiday here).
I managed to get the gopro under the truck today. 10 sec mark you can see my new CV bouncing! Is there a possibility that the CV bouncing could be due to the aftermarket wheels?

Cheers .

You know what I would check, is the nut for the cv axle, pull the dust cover off of the front hubs and make sure the nut is on tight, believe these require loctite, but @B E N would know more than me. That video is awful at my end, so no real help. That sound could be the iwes, front diff mounting bolts, etc. Get under there with a good torque wrench and make sure everything is to factory specs, front diff mounting bolts, shock bolts, etc.

Agreed, check torque on everything you touched...could still be IWE system, hoses and check valve good?
