‘24 Raptors and the CAI Dilemma

Love my new Raptor but the difficulty right now for ‘24 owners in getting aftermarket parts fitment is a struggle. I was looking at getting a CAI, in the research Cobb seemed to be the quality standard for intakes but when shopping I realized they have intakes for ‘24s but no scoop! which take it for what you will, maybe a scoop helps maybe it doesn’t but I’m gonna lean more in that it helps more than hurts. Cobb does have a “scoop bracket kit” but in calling them there’s not fitment for ‘24 with it only ‘23 and below…
So I am now leaning more to S&B for a CAI. I hear good things about them like the louder intake sound and the fact that they come with the scoop attached! But is the quality less than the Cobb? Since it’s $100 cheaper??
I Need some help and advice here from those who have either owned, currently own or have been down this road before on which of these are the best bang for the buck right now for newer gen 3s??IMG_7184.pngIMG_7183.png

Ive used S&B in the past on trucks and cars, no complaints. Im actually planning on going with the S&B for my 24 Raptor. I personally think the Cobb is too expensive for what it is. The S&B is a complete unit vs the Cobb using the OEM bottom part of the intake and not coming with the scoop.

Personally I think the scoop is the one thing on the intake most worth replacing. My truck is a 22 and was after they tweaked the radiator shroud to allow better air flow. The intake scoop still collapsed. No tune or anything. While a scoop may not provide any performance benefit under normal circumstances, it certainly does if it doesn’t collapse. So I installed the Cobb CF scoop to be done with it. IMG_3266.jpeg

@taquitos I think your spot on with this considering unless you have an open air box the main source of your air is controlled by how much can be collected by the scoop. I was going to by the Cobb carbon fiber one but they don’t have fitment with ‘24s. I did find that AFE has an aftermarket Dynamic Air Scoop (D.A.S.) that i ordered for $75 that’s says it will fit a ‘24 so I’m going to see how it looks and lines up in comparison to the stock. And then either stick with the COBB intake or Corsa. I would love to see a side by side comparison of the COBB vs S&B and AFE one day.

Why does it look like someone sat or laid on it and crushed it? The center support ribs look like they got crushed.

That’s what it looks like when the intake scoop has collapsed. The center gets pinched together and the supports buckle in the middle.
