Hopefully not too loud! That’s why I retained the factory muffler system, but you never know.
Should have a video soon.
I didn’t change the turbo adaptors, didn’t think they did all that much. But might be something I add in later.
Thanks @802Avalanche
Hey guys I hope to have my truck back tomorrow or Friday with the above mentioned modifications.
Wanted to record a video of how this certain setup will sound. I know when I was looking it was hard to find a video of factory muffler system with catless downpipes, not to mention no resonator...
No rubbing while turning. I had them move the wheel forward as well as all the usual pinch weld grinding etc.
If I were to fully compress I'm sure I would blow the liners out because I'm only on mid perch.

Ive been using the MTZ's in 315/70/17 for 40000kms now. Here in Alberta we get harsh winters and some slick icy road conditions. So hopefully i can give you a better idea for your decision.
icy road traction: Not the best, BFG's did better. But i dont find them horrible.
noise: Not the...
Lucky. Just got my truck back because of this noise. They ended up replacing IWE actuator, passenger side hub assembly and vacuum line. Fixed for now. Fucking IWE!!
Congrats. I never thought much of the warnings from other members in regards to upgrading the cheap stupid rubber pieces that both connect intake tube to throttle body and filter. But if you off road your truck i HIGHLY recommend replacing them with high quality silicone versions.
I popped my...
Kris my Icon PSR is doing great so far. And you know the RPG one is also doing great for the other guys. I would stick to one of those two and put the money you save towards something else.
Thanks Kris. Looking forward to it. It will be nice now for you and some of the others in the group to actually feel the difference between the two. Now with Brian's FOX's and my Icons, much easier decision making for pulling the trigger on 3.0's.
The time has come for me, like so many other fellow FRF members. The new stage of Raptor awesomeness has began..
The Rap is being blessed by my good friends at Big Dogs Performance with Icon and RPG hardware.
My non-biased initial, street and off-road impressions to come soon.
Many thanks...
I thought about having unobtanium welding build me a nice TT kit here in Calgary (for anyone not familiar with him, hes a fabrication/welding guru local to us). Coming from many mustangs including a 3.4 Whippled 04 Cobra and 640rwhp C6 Z06, i miss the acceleration and speed.
But then i realized...
Are rear shock mount reinforcements a must when i install my ICON 3.0's? I maybe only offroad my truck 10-15 times a year. But when i do, i beat it real nice:busaballs:
Awesome. Watched every video, love it. I was getting frustrated with the lack of throttle response from the truck. You guys reallyyyyyyyy need some 4.88 gearing.
Also, what were the performance mods? Longtubes intake and tune only?
And were you satisfied with the way the ICON's performed?
BUMPITY bump. Ready to order these before i get my shocks on. Need to see some pics. I know the uppers are bolt-on if need be, but what about the lowers? Im most likely getting them welded on anyway.
Greg did you install yours yet?
Hey Kris. Shipping on the Methods to us isnt so bad. I got mine through TMX, they will hook you up when the time comes dont worry.
I think i convinced Brian from Edmonton to jump on this deal today lol.
Took mine off last week after reading this thread. Havent had it off road yet, only city highway driving.
Gotta say i prefer it off. Only time i feel the body roll is yanking the wheel, im still taking my exit ramps and high speed exits at the same speed. Truck feels planted and predictable...
Oh Wilson...
I wasnt asking how to put on someone elses muffler, but thanks for the quick laugh.
And thanks to SW for answering my question.
And yes i do personally think from experience i must add that a 1 7/8'' primary with 3'' collector is ideal for power and torque gains through...
Which option would i pick if i was wanting to connect your Y pipe to my MBRP turndown? The one for factory muffler?
Also, is the 1 7/8" X 3" long tubes the largest size available?
THanks.
What height setting is the blue Raptor with ICON's set at?
Im asking because im hoping i will be ok with running 37's with the ICON's at their factory setting plus Boatec's.
