When you say pin stripe do you mean scratches? Ceramic coating does not buff any "marks" it will also not hide any swirls/scratches. If you want to get rid of any marks you'd have to do some level of paint correction no way around it.
Independent of using a wax or ceramic coat if you want the...
With SC tax you are about $140 less with trade in. Not much difference.
I have seen the used raptor prices drop and they are not selling as quick (check out cars.com and see inventory it shows the number of days). I bought last month, only one dealership was offering a reasonable trade...
Vehicles are picked at random to do testing from what I read in other ford forums. If they test the car they do add those details and stick a paper to the window noting the number of miles. I assume most of the time they remove that when they do the dealership PDI. My 2023 also had about 50...
54. Jan build date. They did likely test it, but then I am not sure if it had the document on the window mentioning the additional miles due to ford testing.
I ceramic coated my truck. Took me a few days to complete. It beads water like crazy. I did one coat of DQuartz Go and one of Cquartz SiC.
Next is the interior, but I am undecided on what products I will use. I'll probably wait until my trim pieces are replaced/fixed before doing anything...
I would go with your preferred color. The main reason I went from a 2023 to a 2024 was because while I liked the OW white I really wanted a gray color which was not available on the 2023.
I finally got around ceramic coating my truck and all 4 fender flares are scratched up, 2 of them have the more noticeable scratches. My suggestion to all is to really QC your truck to document all issues (if you choose to still take delivery). Even with only having 350 miles on my truck I am...
We thought it would be an easy fix but apparently not. One section according to the service director is not an easy fix. One trim on the center could not snap back and they will order the part (have not heard from them maybe they forgot lol).
It almost seem like a hit and miss to lock it pressing the button, I have to press on it a few times for it to lock. Try opening the door after you are near and closing it then try. The unlocking feature generally does not give me any issues. I think my 2023 was the same so I did not think of...
I had the same creaking sound. I agree not loud but with no music a bit annoying. I though it was coming from the pillar and tried to push in all sections to see if it went away. For me it turned out to be the section in the picture in the door. I pressed on it and the creaking noise went way...
Do your really think Ford would say the issues they become aware of? Recalls are more to cover themselves but they will never (not just Ford any company) publicly say oh yeah we had all this other quality issues (nor will they publicly document unless it is an actual recall). Heck nobody knows...
Generally people that join forums are more observant of quality type of issues. Most people focus on does the car/truck get me from point A to point B and only have concerns when something major affects their vehicle or a recall is pushed out (including raptor owners outside of FRF).
Now of...
So much for their CEO claiming that they do extra quality checks. According to the CEO 2024 ford lineup has better initial quality. Apparently not lol his version of quality is a bit different than what most of us would expect.
I was just thinking about this the other day I drove at night. With my 2023 you could surely tell the lights turned, I have not seen this with my 2024. Either that or they turn that quick lol.
I have not experienced anything electrical myself mainly the trim issues and the tailgate appliqué. all fixable and I agree the
Unfortunately yeah it is most manufacturers that lack in the QC area. The only brand that I ever had with no quality issues is Porsche.
While I agree that I am not...
To Houston you are looking at no less than two weeks. Mine got shipped on 17Apr showed as final preparation on 06May, but ready at the dealership on 09May. I picked it up on 10May. The dealership told me that 2 week is the earliest they have seen them arrive.
My dealership did not push back when I texted them a video/pictures. I am sure they know about this issue. The part is just on back order, but will be covered under warranty.
What dealership was this from? Here in Houston we are lucky if we get MSRP and no add ons. I just got mine last week, but my brother is looking for a raptor, for that type of discount even having it shipped it could make it worth it. If you can share the dealership details that would be great...
Just because I just joined my issues are not legit? If you read I mentioned "I should have done a better job at doing my own checks but hey you get excited when picking up a new truck" in my original post. I also did mention on my original post that I still love the truck. Issues should be fixed...
Fro those if you that picked up your 2024 Raptor what type of quality issues are you noticing?
I should have done a better job at doing my own checks but hey you get excited when picking up a new truck.
Here are issues I noted:
1.) The tailgate appliqué seems to be loose. Seen a post under...
I just picked up a Jan 2024 build and my stereo actually does sound better than on the 2023 I had. While still not the best out there I was pleasantly surprised with the better sound.
