What's next for Ford Raptor now that Ram came out with the RHO?

Direct injection coking has long been a thing of the past for smarter car companies. All they had to do was use port injection to clean the runners and valves and it becomes a non issue. Alfa does it, Toyota does it, Subaru does it. Those are the only companies I have worked for that I know for...

The right way to install GEN 2 Shocks on a GEN 1!

Is it possible to do the same with the live valve shocks? Would be nice to use mostly factory parts to get live valve on a non live valve gen1 or gen2 although I know gen2 is already a go. Personally I think unless your racing the truck, having different modes outweighs having to set up for...

What's next for Ford Raptor now that Ram came out with the RHO?

Unfortunately the world thinks electrification is the answer. Until they all get their heads out of their tailpipes and realize they should be going after bio fuel, we’re stuck watching them fail. Unless there is some super battery technology they have figured out then I’m all for 800miles to a...

What did u do to your raptor today?

First look, thought you built a Gatling gun! Looks sick! Can’t wait to see the final product.

    FP Forged FP2-SL (see details) 17x9 +12

Fantastic looking wheels! Nice to see an aftermarket wheel with some thought and design put into it, rather than the usual black on black generic fake beadlocks. These would 100% be on my radar had I not just purchased factory forged beadlocks. GLWS although anyone looking at wheels should be...

IWE going out would be my guess, but this is an old thread so hopefully this helps someone searching this issue.

    HARD 1-2 shift

Is this at 215* F, as was the recommended check temperature provided by techone? Also there are a lot of hatch marks on that dipstick, better make sure what applies to your truck.

Anyone better options than OEM brake and rotor sets front and rear

Ok, I will check them out. I have some slotted drilled rotors up front atm, no complaints except stopping distance is a bit long. With the age of my truck now, I would be in the market to replace the calipers and lines with upgraded units at the same time I replace pads and rotors. Any...

Anyone better options than OEM brake and rotor sets front and rear

Ah yes the only place more beautiful and some how more F’ed up than California. It’s all worth it though as you all have the best bike parks in the word, well actually any kind of mountain biking and out door recreation.

Anyone better options than OEM brake and rotor sets front and rear

Um… this is a $1k front pad and rotor set. I’m pretty sure the op wanted replacement calipers and lines. Also drilled slotted in sand seems like a terrible idea. Just my 2c

You must live in California like myself, there is no longer a men’s restroom. It’s all multi gender no gender whatever rooms.

Anyone better options than OEM brake and rotor sets front and rear

Just remember there would be no gen two without gen one. For the record I too love how the gen twos look. ;) Ha! Just realized we’re both in the wrong section!

    Ranger raptor upgrades

I would say enjoy the truck and upgrade stuff slowly. That truck is extremely capable and amazing as is. I wanted one bad, but couldn’t justify it costing twice the price of a gen one f150 raptor. (Don’t ask why those were the two options I had in mind. I am anything but practical with my...

    Ranger raptor upgrades

Ok serious answer is I have no idea, but it’s not going to be cheap. You would have to look to see if anyone actually has anything available for the engine, or have a reputable fabricator make stuff for you. The answer for how much is always the same with custom parts. Time plus materials. In...

    Extended Engine Cranking when starting

Good point, then that means it’s the tune. I was merely trying to find an explanation for why only some trucks have the issue. If you take the truck to a tuner and have them reduce the fuel trims for start up this could help until the real fix comes out. I say this after following the...

    Extended Engine Cranking when starting

Another thought, there may be a bad batch of leaky injectors in some of these new trucks.

    Extended Engine Cranking when starting

@EricM is right, it sounds like a flood issue, best way to test is put your foot to the floor when initially starting the truck. This puts it into clear flood mode. Crank it over a bit and then release the accelerator. If it starts right up that’s the issue.

Garrett PowerMax Stage 2 Turbo Upgrade?

There are also four and five link kits available for way less money and you won’t have to start over. Also anyone seriously thinking of putting some power down with bigger turbos NEEDS to be looking at e85 or methanol injection. It’s an easy and relatively cheap insurance that the engine doesn’t...

Gen 1 Raptor Options - Pls help

Curious as to what all the maintenance items are as per the factory guide, and at what intervals. I have always done full synthetic 5k max oci with filter replacement, coolant and atf every 50-60k depending on quality of fluid and filters used, everything else every 30k. Haven’t had a vehicle...

Congratulations on your new truck, you got one heck of a deal! I just paid 34k after tax for mine and it has 134k on it. Guess it’s Cali tax. More pics of the beauty please!
