Hi - 2011 Raptor Screw - gauge is reading 3/4 when full - I've tested the needle sweep with my scantool - cluster is okay, no codes - also the fuel metering per mile is accurate - I see on other F150s there's a plastic protective cover on the main frame that catches some dirt and contaminates the fuel sender connection - I coudnt find this on the raptor - can someone point me in the right direction ? my guess is either a bad sender or there is a connection that is packed with years of dirt - just cant seem to find the connections under the truck thx

Im wishing for someone to answer too....since my gauge is kind of screwy too past 3-4 fill ups...says im getting way high MPG..usually if it showed 15mpg and I nailed it,gauge would keep going down..but now stays at high MPG...also the actual tank guage will show 1/2 empty and still 250+ miles to empty which in no way is correct...A full tank for me has always shown 360+- and when 1/2 full maybe 140+- but never 250+-..... So will be going back to the pre computer days and track it with a pen and paper.... I'm sure there are a few on here that remember that....

Now that I observe it closely it's the top half of the tank that reads wrong. It reads 3/4 when filled, then goes to full, then after a few gallons drops to about just over half.... then takes forever to get right to half... the bottom half of the tank reads correctly. Is there a way to recalibrate the gauge?

The sender has a potentiometer, seems like the contacts are worn. I would replace the whole unit before the pump goes out.
