Low torque at WOT no fault codes

I’ll have a look at this. I thought it was resolved with plugs and coils but it returned again today.

Low torque at WOT no fault codes

I did that earlier and they matched during multiple pulls. What I did notice was every cylinder had combustion quality fault counters ranging from 1 to 8, with cylinder ls 3,4,5 being the highest. Didn’t log a misfire tho. I’m going to gap down the plugs and repeat the test.

Low torque at WOT no fault codes

Im looking at installing the 170* thermostat. Whether the engine is designed to run that hot or not is irrelevant to me. Oil temp needs to reach 212*F to make sure moisture is burnt off but that shouldn’t be an issue even with the lower temp stat. I’m looking into getting forscan and a better...

Low torque at WOT no fault codes

All of the BMW’s I’ve owned have been more reliable than my raptor and cost me less to maintain lol. Mini update. Watched the misfire counter and on the second pull it registered misfires on cylinder 2, 3 and 5. Swapped coils around and repeated the test. Found cylinder 2 stayed, but misfires...

Low torque at WOT no fault codes

I’m gathering as much. I’ve had luck in the past with forums, and hoped this would be similar. Appreciate the replies.

Low torque at WOT no fault codes

The way engine management on modern BMW’s and Fords work are not the same. I also don’t have Forscan, whereas I have full factory diagnostic software for bmw, full access to engineering support, advanced diagnostic information and my regions technical service engineers phone number saved in my...

Low torque at WOT no fault codes

I’m on vaca for a week. When I’m back to work I’ll run a smoke test. Air filter was replaced 3 months ago during its last visit to the dealer ( all new front and rear suspension, upper control arms, lower ball joints, tie rods, new belts, all new filters, new oil pan, new radiator blinds, new...

Low torque at WOT no fault codes

I don’t have forscan or a laptop. You don’t have to be condescending either, instructing me to pay attention. I am aware how live pid’s work and how to understand/diagnose from them, I just don’t have the ability. Forums have always been a resource for information ( at least on the bmw side)...

Low torque at WOT no fault codes

Foxwell NT510 ford diagnostic tool. It’s not an Autozone scanner. I have 2 way control, can program modules, reset adaptation tables, view live data etc. I’ve hand checked all of the common areas for leaks etc. everything is tight and sealed. I suspect the ecu is pulling timing for some reason...

I’ve driven 2 other gen2’s and neither of them did the same thing.

Low torque at WOT no fault codes

Nothing but 93 fuel, no mods. Always driven in sport mode. The boost gauge goes full but the truck feels weak. Below half on the gauge and lighter throttle the truck is more responsive and pulls harder. It got new plugs a year ago at 56k miles ( give it take a bit). Has had regular oil changes...

Low torque at WOT no fault codes

Quick question for all the gen 2 owners. My truck has always felt less torquey at wide open throttle, like it isn’t making any boost pressure, and when accelerating between 50% and 99% throttle the truck accelerates in stages. Meaning I get a little torque, then more, and then more, you can feel...

    New England Owner

I kinda figured. Massachusetts is tough for off-roading since it’s basically illegal. The weather and scenery here are perfect for some trail runs etc.

    New England Owner

Hey is there a local community of owners in the New England/ Massachusetts area that coordinates events or meets? Did a bit of searching but didn’t find anything.

    New Gen2 owner!

To be fair both vehicles get less than 17mpg so no real offset, just more wallet depreciation and happiness.

    New Gen2 owner!

Stopping in here to say hello. I recently purchased a one owner 2018 LFG Raptor, and loving every minute so far. Noticed a few quirks, like rough shifting and stuttering acceleration after purchase so it's back at the dealer getting diagnosed and fixed. Also noticed an oil leak which they are...
