The truck uses the BCM, RTM, intrusion sensor cluster and door latches to monitor for theft or intrusion. The message you are getting indicates an issue with the intrusion sensor cluster which also has an inclination sensor built in to it.
My guess is your issue is in either the BCM or the...
Those codes are all for PCM commanded outputs fed by fuse 36 in the BJB. You have a short to ground somewhere in that circuit most likely in the grey/grey violet wire that feeds power to those outputs (circuit CKB03). All of them are in or around the engine bay, inspect the wiring for any damage...
Thats kind of what I mean when I talk about perception. You surely have felt a once in a while weird shift or clunk or maybe you never noticed it but you always perceived it as normal. Others can drive the same exact vehicle and it shifts the same exact way and they lose their minds about how...
I'm not an engineer but my biggest issue with the 10R80 is how the software controls it. For reference I have an 18 raptor with a goosetuned TCM and my transmission shifts smoother than 99% of the vehicles that come in to my dealership (not meant to be an endorsement for goosetune, but kind of...
Im not trying to attack you, just not trying to spread misinformation so respectfully';
CDF stands for C clutch, D clutch and F clutch, not center distance fixed. The 6 clutch packs in the 10R80 are labeled A through F. The CDF clutch drum houses and feeds those three clutches.
The 23-2250...
With all of your old and new issues being drivers door functions, I think its more likely the wiring between the cab and the door is starting break giving you intermittent open circuits. Thats usually where the problem is, where the wires bend going into the door.
The problem with intermittent...
Pinion bearing wear/deterioration or pinion bearing races not being set all the way to the shoulder they sit on can cause pinion looseness over time. If a new pinion nut was not used I would suspect that could be the cause too as they do have sort of a permanent locktite on them.
Honestly your...
In the A2B data cable between the 2 "shields" on that diagram is an inline connector that lives under the center console. You can get both the front and rear sections individually and separately from the 14A005 harness that it is built into from the factory.
-Joe
That is an AAB or A2B audio bus cable, Ford calls it a coax cable but its more of a data cable. They do sell the cable seperately, its in 2 pieces and goes from the ACM in the instrument panel to an inline connector under the center console, and then from there back to the DSP (amplifier). You...
U0140, U0401 and P061A are part of SSM 48563 which states: Some 2017-2020 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a no crank/no start, auto start stop inoperative, illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and/or powertrain malfunction indicator lamp, transmission shift concerns, diagnostic trouble codes...
Forscan will work. A generic code reader will only read a limited number of modules and codes so that's why you're not seeing anything with it.
I highly doubt the CCM would have been damaged by the wiring harness chafe, it is an 8 pin connector but it really only has 4 wires going to it...
+1 for this, and also make sure you are using a scan tool that can communicate with ALL modules, not just a generic OBD 2 tool.
If you do have a good scan tool what are your DTCs?
-Joe
There are more modules involved in adaptive cruise control then just the CCM. Specifically, the ABS module and image processing module "A" (IPMA) play a big part in normal cruise control operation and certain DTCs, when set, can deactivate cruise control altogether. This is what most likely...
P0420 is bank 1, passenger side on our trucks. The downstream 02 sensor will be on the cat itself, but it kind of faces upward so its a bit of a pain to get to. Im not saying its impossible, but the chances of a bad 02 sensor giving a catalyst efficiency code is rare. 02 sensors are reactionary...
In my experience, I have performed the desulfurization procedure that Ford published with mixed results. I have seen about 50% of those vehicles return and Ford says immediately put a cat in it. I will say however that I have had customers not want to purchase the Ford cat due to cost and...
You really need to go to a dealer and order it because mirrors are VIN specific as there are a lot of options available. Your truck has an ambient temp sensor built in to the passenger side mirror and if you get one from the wrong vehicle it will actually set a check engine light. They are paint...
Not to mention the 3" hole that the factory wiring goes through the firewall with the large grommet. People like to wire stuff through that grommet and knock it out of place and not put it back. We have also seen windshields leaking at that area, coming down the A pillar and into the BCM area...
All of those shifts you have listed require apply or unapply of C, D, and F clutches. There is a TSB (the newest one is 24-2101) to address a CDF clutch drum that has a bushing that can slide creating a leak/crossleak in any of those clutches. The new design has a lip that doesn't allow the...
Battery state of charge being too low will derate certain electrical loads especially key off engine off loads such as intelligent access. The battery may need to be charged and rechecked and the battery state of charge may need to be reset in the BCM using FDRS. I have had battery state of...
Waiting for parts for months is not a bizarre situation, its very very common with just about all manufacturers at least since 2020. As stated you can look in to lemon laws in your state but it is not your dealer's fault if Ford can't supply parts.
