Purge valve did not change anything for me. Still does it.
But, if I put pedal to full throttle for a short sprint, it seems to straighten out and read fairly accurately from then on. Also is fine after I fill the tank.
Still think that Prius i parked next to did something .....
Ok, another try to figure this out. I left home read out (miles to empty) was 2 miles for every mile driven. Got dow the road, petal to the metal, took up to about 90, full throttle. It reversed.... readout now .80 miles per actual mile driven. Stayed that way, gas guage seemed to be...
As I stated earlier, first it was 3 miles for every actual mile. At some point it reversed, 1 mile for every 2 actual. Lately it's been about .7 miles for every actual mile driven. The road to town has exact mile markers.
Prior to all of this, it has been very accurate. Last time I...
For what it's worth.... used the Raptor to do some heavy lifting today. Pulled a heavy duty dump trailer with 2&1/2 yds of crushed rock. Almost 200 miles and none of it flat. Nothing around here is flat...
Nothing unusual. I calculated the mileage at 10.9 mpg. Normal, guages read...
It's nuts!! I don't drive the truck more than once a week if that. Filled the tank, took it out and instead of 3 miles per mile, it was 1 mile per 1.5 miles, the opposite. I guess it was making up for It's previous errors. I have noted that the continuous mileage monitor has always been...
I think a bad sensor, but not sure which one. No dash lights indicating anything wrong . Engine was running fine, no indication of excessive fuel. Popped the hood at the gas station to check smell or leaks. I can't see how the fuel Guage was dropping along with the gallons per mile. I also...
Raptor has been driven a few days ago, no problem. Was going to town and "mileage to empty 153 miles to empty". By the time I got to town it said 97.
... I went 9 miles! I was planning a 30 mile trip so I put gas in and headed out. Miles were dropping @ 3 miles per actual mile. I turned...
Yes, ignition.
Thought maybe someone had a good alternative. There's some name brand stuff that has possibilities. If they put their name on it, it's their reputation.
My search kept bringing up raptor baby engines and coils.
6.2 coils, what are current best options. (I got burned using aftermarket on my Kowasaki, blew it's brain... expensive.)
I'm approaching 100,000 and would like to change coils. Best place to buy?
