High mileage owners please check in

Those components are not Raptor-spec, they were standard F-150 parts. FoMoCo brags that the F-150 has been Americas best selling truck for the last 46 consecutive years. There's no way replacement parts will disappear with millions of potential customers for every single part on these trucks...

    What's that? This thing?

The part number is 7A443. I don't know the rest of the number. I'd call a transmission shop to see if they have a source. Even the "pre-owned", (aka "pre-stretched") ones are ridiculous on eBay.

Those aluminum torx head (1-time use) bolts were a surprise.

Gen1 Spring Under Build (Lots of extras)

Really good video of a spring under Ranger prerunner. They get to the good stuff at 8:00min in: https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=youtube+desert+dime+apring+under+ford+ranger&mid=A6CEB19DE2668632453DA6CEB19DE2668632453D&view=detail&FORM=VIRE

Transmission updates - aftermarket pan and dipstick?

You'll need this after topping off the fluid if that dipstick fill method doesn't work.

That's the picture in the tech manual. It doesn't really show how little room there is to turn a wrench

Little update. The new trans cooler lines are secured, the oem shift linkage cable & bracket (that yellow thing), is on, the 17 trans pan bolts are all torqued, original transmission crossmember was cleaned up, painted, and bolted back on. The most "fun" part is securing the (2) 15mm bolts that...

2011 Ford Raptor, is this worth it?

Nobody buys a mass produced 13yo pickup truck for the stereo "system". It was always gonna be cr ap.

2011 Ford Raptor, is this worth it?

Checkout Fordtechmakuloco on YT for F150 powertrain and electric repair videos, and keep it dirty offroad for Raptor-specific mods and maintenance tips. You'll find lots of useful info between the videos and comments.

2011 Ford Raptor, is this worth it?

If the motor, trans, and transfer case are good, there's very little risk of it becoming a money pit. A drive in/ drive out transmission rebuild could be $5K. A motor could be 2X that. Electrical work is time consuming, but it's just time and inexpensive/available parts. Paint & body work...

    Favorite phone mount?

The first time I looked at the Quadlock website it was nothing but pop up bullshlt and cookie ads. I gave up and moved on. Today, I see nothing has changed. These businesses need to drop all that and stop trying to sell me a "lifestyle". Seriously, they are selling you a piece of plastic...

Gen 1 6.2 engine mount / motor mount replacement

Jesus shltfire, that's a ton of work to remove enough off the top of the motor to allow the motor to be jacked up. At that much work, I'd consider removing the cab instead. At that point, you have easy access to everything including the transmission. Just a thought.

Gen1 Spring Under Build (Lots of extras)

I'm sure that Deaver Spring can explain exactly what you need to do, they've been setting up Ford truck suspensions since the Earth cooled.

2011 Ford Raptor, is this worth it?

If you're gonna use it as a truck and not get buried in unnecessary upgrades & mods; thats a reasonable price. Then, I'd find a mechanic who can meet up with you and run all the codes and do an inspection. That might cost as little as $200. If you have the time, pull fluid samples from the trans...

Would it have possibly reset itself by just disconnecting the battery for a bit? That was the original "Reboot" method.

That's the shackle sleeve; boxed within the frame. I remember that with an empty tool box, and the spare tire removed, you could pull that bumper straight up 4-5", or make it squat 2-3" by sitting on it. Try doing THAT with a 6000lb Gen 1 Raptor!

Gen1 Spring Under Build (Lots of extras)

That's the best photo I've got of my '01 Tacoma. You can tell by the angle of the shackle that it was plush. That's with no fuel, spare tire, tools, or a driver.

That for a  remanufactured leadframe on eBay? Or a new, OEM, improved version?

Gen1 Spring Under Build (Lots of extras)

It's a much softer ride, a little more droop, and it (seems to) eliminate axle wrap. Definitely more work than just swapping in new Deavers, since you have to remove the old spring plates, relocate new axle spring plates & get the angle right before you weld it on. You lose payload, (Deaver can...

    ADS or Fox 3.0.

Good luck installing that shock on the front of a baby bronco. I had a set of 3.0 King coilovers & bypasses on the front of a '96 bronco. They were only 10" stroke, and were mounted to an engine cage that almost scraped the hood. It looked like this:
