That's the shackle sleeve; boxed within the frame. I remember that with an empty tool box, and the spare tire removed, you could pull that bumper straight up 4-5", or make it squat 2-3" by sitting on it. Try doing THAT with a 6000lb Gen 1 Raptor!20211210_152638.jpg

It's a much softer ride, a little more droop, and it (seems to) eliminate axle wrap. Definitely more work than just swapping in new Deavers, since you have to remove the old spring plates, relocate new axle spring plates & get the angle right before you weld it on. You lose payload, (Deaver can tell you how much), but at this point you can get a really plush ride that doesn't seem possible in a pickup.

I am thinking I'll keep my current shock and bump mount, so basically my travel will be the same, but my current springs go negitive alot, I tried to reduce the negitive arch by getting longer shackle but the shackle geometry is way off.

I don't want to relocate the rear spring mount so I like the way OPs truck is set up. I wish that guys website had the kit listed.

I'm sure that Deaver Spring can explain exactly what you need to do, they've been setting up Ford truck suspensions since the Earth cooled.
